Going to visit Newcastle on the 2nd of October. Too late to change my mind but I just wanted to get a feel for it. Should be fun! Have to reschedule my driving lesson though..

Finally sent off my application
Well off to the school anyway. They've approved it and just have to finish off the reference. Should be all done by tomorrow Then it's track time! That's when the game really begins :P

Got back from Newcastle about an hour ago.
Didn't learn anything new in the medicine talk but I wasn't expecting to. Someone asked about the UKCAT cut off and the admissions tutor/head of the department (I think) just said that if you get around the mean you should be fine. Definitely no indication that there will be a big jump in scores so anything above 660 should be fine!
Newcastle itself is a nice place. There's a lot, and I mean a lot, of construction going on so that kinda detracts from it but it should all be sorted by the time 2011 entry starts. Overall it went well but Manchester still holds the number one spot for me.
Surprisingly my school has yet to send off my application. It should be done by Monday though. Care home and driving tomorrow. Wooo

My reference is said to be complete but my application has yet to be sent...
Not very happy but not much I can do about that. No surprises there. It should be sent off in the next few days according to my school. Hopefully I'm not the last to hear back from the uni's because the wait would kill me :P

Still no updates. New application send off date is the 11th.
If it's not sent then, I won't be the slightest bit happy. Can't believe some people are already getting interviews for Birmingham! It's all getting into swing now.

Still not sent.. won't be sent tomorrow either I'm fairly sure.
Looks like it'll be Wednesday. Nice and efficient.. Apart from that, care home on Sunday wasn't too bad. Talked to more people and served tea and cold drinks.

My reference has been completed and approved. As has my account. Now it just has to be sent which will be done tomorrow!
Then it'll be a quiet month or so until things start to get into action. Worrying stuff :P

Application finally sent off
My reference is good and I am actually predicted A*AA with the A* in biology. Now the waiting game begins

I've gotten my UEA (pharmacy) and Liverpool acknowledgement emails.
I should be hearing back from UEA 'very shortly' but I don't have high hopes for them as I have a medicine based personal statement and to some degree reference. Should definitely hear back the coming week though. Hopefully the other uni replies aren't too late

Got my Keele acknowledgement today and an unofficial Newcastle acknowledgement as they sent me an email asking about financing. Nothing important.
Keele have had over 2700 applicants so should be interesting to see how things turn out. Durham are supposedly already interviewing people with a UKCAT score of over 690 and so it would've been nice if I applied there :P Ah well.
