May as well start a journal

Wicked! Peeps do journals in this forum. Sadly I've never been that hot at keeping a diary. Always thought, it be cool if I kept a diary, or journal, from 14 yrs onwards and to read back on all the weird things I wrote. I'm so disorganised though. I must've lost at least 6 diaries in my lifetime so I called it a day. Maybe lucky 7 will succeed. Luckily I can rely on this great internet contraption to look after the entries.

Yeah, great, this internet thing- mum's only just discovered the wonderful world of Email :wink: ! She phones me up and says 'You heard of this brilliant invention called email?'

'No,' I say sarcastically 'oh do tell me mummy dear what it does!'

'So quick so it is! I just type, click, send and Voila! I can write my friends electronic letters! Shall I explain how it's done?'

'Nah, too complicated for me,' I say as I realised she failed to pick up my sarcasm in the first response.

Oops, that was offtopic.

Okay, Day 1... erm... 12/09/03

Nuttin' much happened. Except it's 1 AM and I should be going to bed because I have a doctor's appointment at 9:50 tomorrow. I need to be vaccinated against hepititus B ( I think there's no cure for C)- but I need clearance for C and B.

I hate getting up! I'll have to get used to it though since Uni is over the horizon. I can't believe summer is nearly over! I'm going to have to sort out this mumbled sleeping pattern before I start Uni not as a fresher- but a Zombie! :shock:

Mornings just don't exist for me at this stage- well- not the daylight ones anyway. Must've been an owl in another life.

Oh, and pops told me today I ought to kickstart my studies by learning anatomy. I just looked at him as if today 'Are you off your jacket?!? It only feels as if I wrote my brutal A-level exams yesterday!!!'

He's probably right though. But one step at a time. Let's just 'get' to London first- yeah?

That reminds me, saw Eastenders today. Looks like poor Nana moon's got Alzheimer's disease. That's actually really sad. I have a relative with it. I won't go into detail cos I wanna make this a happy post!

Okay, I really better go to bed now dang it!

It's morning now. Half 11 and all.

WEnt to the doctor's for the Hepititus B injection. Needles don't phase me- but now I have to have another one in a month, then another 4 months later, and then a year. What a drag. Better safe then sorry though.

When the Nurse drew blood- again that didn't phase me. But it was freaky because okay... my arms are very thin and my triceps are basically non-existant. Plus, people reckon I look aeneamic, but this hasn't been medically confirmed so I'm not sure really. Really ought to go for a checkup.

Anyway, the needle was like, jabbed into my vein for a dynasty because there was just no blood coming out- or at least it was moving at the pace of a snail! So she tightened the band on my arm until my circulation nearly stopped.... sherbert! Hope I don't end up needing a blood tranfusion Nurse! Wowsers!

Maybe I ought to eat more liver and onions--- yuck!

Here's some useless information. Apparently scientists that gave a value of Iron content for spinach put the decimal point in the wrong place. That means there's next to nothing iron in spinach. So I'd say Popeye must've been getting high on dope all this time (sorry if I offended any fans out there)

Anyway, might kip for a bit. AS I said, morning don't exist for me.

Darn,

I think I've got a cold! I don't normally get them that often which is why it's irretating. I'm not like... dying, but it's annoying... basically. And I bet I know who it was from... that patient that sneezed in my face after I was aspirating when helping out my dad as a dental assistant. Grrr... that'll teach me to wear a mask in future. I hate them horrid microbes floating in the air, waiting to cause havoc.

Yeah, started with a sandpaper throat and now it's just gone to my ears and nose so I can't taste anything. As for the ears, I feel as if there's constant altitude changes.

Speaking of altitude, booked my ticket to fly to London on Fri. Flying Aerlingus because I have had it up to here with Ryanair! They have the most awkward times and plus they say they have deals, but when you go to the next page and see the tax added- you wonder why the hickery-dickery doo they don't spend their greedy earnings on making the planes half decent and buying themselves some manners!Their manners are pants! Plus, they'll leave without you with no conern, be rude to you (Oh, just said that), their coffee sucks on board so now I've decided enough.

Yeah, like, my friend went from Ireland to the UK with Ryanair for a medicine interview last November. And just because she was 5 mins late when going back to Ireland, they wouldn't let her on board! She had to camp out in the airport, pay an extra €70, and fly back the next morning. Need I say more about them?

Sorry, offtopic big time. Guess Idon't have much to say. Going to go to bed early. This time next week I should be in Residance at Barts! And tomorrow next week will be my first day on the BDS course! Kewl! 8)

Maybe I should go to the gym.. actually, I will. I've been on this silly com all day long. Been meaning to pack as I'm flying to london in 2 days time... hasn't hit my lame brain yet but I'm excited!

Dunno what it is with today! The forums I oh so frequently visit are as dead as a dodo, jojo!

I'm baaaack! 2 journal entries in one day. Then again, it's supposed to be quality, not quantity! If I pasted every single word I wrote on different posts, I would've been top rank a loooong time ago. Then again, that would feel like cheating and I like to earn things on my own merit. Then again, sometimes I think I talk too much tosh all the time anyway so maybe I will have earned my ranks in this forum by just being an idiot!

Starten' as a fresher on monday! Ist das nicht Spezial? Ich bin sehr aufgeregt!

Erm... I meant to enter something here... it's slipped my mind now.. oh yes, I'll finish this post with a student dental joke just to take up space and to make it look as if I've half bothered with this journal LOL!!!

Patient: How much to have this tooth pulled?
Dentist: £90.00.
Patient: £90.00 for just a few minutes work???
Dentist: I can extract it very slowly if you like

Don't worry! I don't aim to be like that in the above joke quo

EEK!

I've got to go tomorrow! Yeah, so I;ve sorted out my paperwork, but I haven't packed yet! So typical. I know exactly what's gonna happen! I'll probably just go around the house picking things at random, so that I end up with one huge snowball of clothes, and then I'll just drop em in the suitcase, and jump up and down until it blummin' well fits in.

Catching flights makes me really neurotic. I haven't missed one... yet, but basically, it's my impression the peeps at the airport don't give a flying flamingo and will happily fly without ya. So, I'm going to be a prat and go realy early. Like, make sure I arrive 3 hours in advance. I can always go up and down Dublin airport, and appreciate my last sightings of their guiness adverts, their bright green clover t-shirts on display, and the bailey bottles in the taxfree shops. I've steered clear from the stuff for a clean year now. I don't really like drinking that much, so maybe I'm missing something in the drinking culture with the Paddys. I'm going to miss them SO much!

But, I think I've outgrown Dublin- move on London!

Besides, Ireland is still my holiday home chana!
