Track up-dated today audience! Unsuccessful at Keele I'm sort of gutted. but also relieved that I've heard from all 4 regarding interview news...so it's not all bad

Well that's that -I've passed the first hurdle with reasonable success - getting to the interview stage. Got to pass the other 2 now - getting the offer and then meeting that offer.

Other than that, no other major news from Ernie at the moment.

It's that time of the week again - the one you've all been waiting for. Yeah, that's right, it's time to announce Ernie's Poster Of The Week.

This week's winner, unlike last week's winner, has not be chosen on just one post. This week's winner has played a very supportive and encouraging role in the part of the forum that I've hardly ever visited.
He (or she), therefore, deserve this very special award of being a very helpful new member. Ernie's Poster Of The Week is....Star_struck! So well done you Be very proud of this achievement!

Well, I had my Leicester interview yesterday. How did it go? Not great I was feeling pretty confident until yesterday morning, when I started to fell anxious, and just before the interview, I was a nervous wreck. Damn nerves! I could've said a lot more on the questions asked, and I don't think I sold myself at all. Got a few laughs in there, but I think I can safely say that I won't end up in Leicester. Grrr.....!

Hopefully, I'll do a lot better at Manchester!

The jury has made a tough decision today audience. They've not been able to read the forums in that much detail this week, and by my current work-load, it looks likes they won't have the time during the remaining of the week either. So, it is time to announce Ernie's Poster Of The Week.

This week's winner is known to you all. I'm not really sure how much he has contributed this week, but he has to be one of the winners of this prestigious award, and I'm afraid that as he approaches his goal of 9,999 posts, next week might be too late. I'm pretty sure my last sentence tipped off the identity this week's winner. So, the jury is proud to announce that Ernie's Poster Of The Week Is.....Gizmo! Well done Macca You fully deserve it!

"OMG"! I hear you say audience. "Is this really Ernie, the faggot who hasn't posted in weeks and kept us in agony just waiting for his next post". Well, yeah

Now I know I haven't been on here for a while, and I probably won't be active for some time because I am really busy - work, college subjects, extended project, jobs around the house, the ladies () etc...

But, today, I heard back from all 4 med schools and thought would share the news with my audience. I got an offer from Leicester and Manchester WHOOO! I just need to decide now . I like both schools, but I'm sort of leaning more towards Leicester as I think a more integrated system would suit me better than a pure PBL one. But I haven't decided yet.

If any of you reading this are would-be applicants, I hope you can take away from this that grades aren't everything. I can't tell you how many times I read on this forum, "Oh no, I've got 8 A*'s and 2 A's, and I heard med schools wouldn't give some one a second glance unless they've got staright A*'s." Ok, this was sort of exaggerated, but you get my point. If you do your reserach and make the other, more important stuff of your application good, then you should get in. Remember, I had no A*'s at GCSE and no A's at AS.

"Yeah, OK Ernie. That's all good and well, but what has that got to do with your blog?" Good question. Simple reason being that I need a Ernie's Poster of The Week and since I haven't been following this forum that closely, the panel couldn't' make a decision. So, for that "sagely" advice I just gave in the previous paragraph, Ernie's Poster of The Week is...Ernie! Well done...me!

Well I finally did it. I decided which medical school to go to. All you people in Leicester will be lucky now that Ernie will be among you now! Just need to get those grades now. In other news, I can't believe Rocky got the sack on the Apprentince...should've been that James bloke. He does make good TV though.

    Talking

The best thing ever happened today audience - I managed to make a perfect lasagne 5th time's the charm It's the getting the texture of the layers that's the tricky part - not too soft and mushy but not too hard or crunchy either. And I managed to get it perfect this time - go me

Well, that's about the only interesting thing going on at the moment. My life at the moment is immersed in revision

And oh, the panel's decided to not do Ernie's Poster of The Week anymore. :O I hear you say, but I'm afraid it's too time consuming and the panel just cba. Do feel to give suggestions if you wish (can't nominate self), but don't expect this particular feature to return (anytime soon anyway).

Back to the books....and my lasagne!
