Why thanks Pommie - hope you had a great Christmas as well

Hey, seems likes my audience has finally began to overcome its shyness - I've already found out the identities of 4 of my fans. And I've got a fan-base of twenty in total so far, so watch out JK Rowling, I'm catching up.
Here's another up-date avid readers. Today was an awful day, horribly awful. Reason - I was forcibly pushed out of my bed by my Mom at 5 this morning to go help her with the Next sale. Grr....I hate the combination of women and sales, and it's not a very friendly place either
Going back tomorrow to return some clothes and replace them - Nooooooooooo!

Hey audience - going to be only here for a few minutes, so no action on any other threads from me at the moment due to panicky revision. But I got a letter from Manchester today - a big, thick A4 envelope. So thick in fact, that I haven't even read all the sheets in it yet. The most important part was in bold letters on the first page of course - INTERVIEW ON 12 MARCH
.
Just going to post on the Manchester thread, up-date my sig with 2 interviews (another
) and see you all in February, providing I don't hear anthing from Keele and Leeds by then
Oh, and good luck for your exams audience!! Hope you all do well! I've had two so far - both went surprisngly well. If you can't tell, I already love 2009! Would put another =D here, but already exceeded the emotion limit.Last edited by Ernie-The_Doc; 10-01-2009 at 02:04 AM.

Hey audience! Now I said I wouldn't post until my exams were over (still got 4 next week [3 of which are Bio and Chem]), but I got a rather thin letter from Leeds this morning. Looks like my application to Leeds ends here....
The letter stated that I didn't receive enough points for interview and that I could apply for feedback, which ofcourse I will be doing. But if I am to hazard a guess, I would say it was my academic score that held me back - no A* at GCSE and no A at AS. But like I said, it's only a guess.
But don't be too dis-heartened audience, this blow wasn't a big impact as it could've been as I've still got 2 interviews
, so medicine is still a possibility this year
Oh, and kudos to Leeds for that photo-paper the letter was printed on
Wish me good luck for my next exams and I'll strat taking an active interest in this forum once next week is over.Leicester Fresher 2009!!

Forgot to add audience, if any of you are Leeds applicants, you may be interested to know the stats they gave me in their letter:
For 2009 entry:
Over 3100 applied
Interview 600-650 applicants
Make around 400 offers
223 places for UK/EU students
EDIT - Now that I think about it, this should be really in the Leeds forum. *Copies and pastes*Last edited by Ernie-The_Doc; 09-02-2009 at 04:04 AM.

ERNIE'S BACK! Whoooo
!
Exams have finally finished audience! Most of went them alright, but there are a few I think I may have to end up re-sitting. We'll find out on the day before results day - results day being the same day as my Manchester interview.
Now then, in recognition of my much anticpated-return, this blog's going to have a brand new feature. I can just see you all now burning with anticpation...well I won't have you waiting any longer to find out....starting from...now
I've gathered an elite panel that will act as a jury. The jury will consist of Ernie, Ernie's amazing brains and Ernie's amazing looks. The jury will, once every week, announce the "Poster of The Week". This is a special, well-sought after award. It recognizes the efforts of a member and rewards them. It's a high honour to be classified as Ernie's Poster of the Week.
Now, the jury will look on many factors - number of posts, quality of posts, usefulness, references to the amazing Ernie etc.... So it may be possible to win with just one post, if it is amazing enough.
Well good luck
And oh, the jury is not open to bribes. It will announce the results sometime this week.Leicester Fresher 2009!!

Hey audience! After the excitement of the BAFTA awards tonight, there is still an award to be presented. It's time to announce the inagaural winner of Ernie's Poster Of The Week. *Drum roll*
It's been a difficult task for the jury. There have been several strong contenders and I have to admit, the reason it took for the jury to announce the winner this late was that the decision was extremely hard. But the jury has decided.
Ernie's Poster Of The Week is.......Sticks! Well done you
Your a very lucky thing and the envy of every member of this forum this coming week
The jury decided you, Sticks, for a post that captivated our imagination and was higly creative. It was brilliant! The post was:
So well done Sticks! The jury will start again tomorrow to decide the next week's winner of Ernie's Poster Of The Week!Last edited by Ernie-The_Doc; 09-02-2009 at 04:03 AM.

In other news audience, I am now absolutely dreading my up-coming Leicester interview. I've became highly annoying to anyone who knows me as I constantly demand them to barrage me with questions....which at the beginning was pretty fun for them grilling me, but now it's more of a "F&$k off Ernie
" Damn nerves!
On the up-side however, I had a mock interview with the vice-principal on Wednesday. Very tough, but she said afterwards that she wouldn't hesitate offering me a place if she was the Admissions Tutor, so that was encouraging
I actually found myself enjoying it as well once we got started - it was great talking about one of the things you love the most! Hope I feel the same way at the the real thing.
No news from Keele yet though, so fingers crossed for them. I rang them up on Friday, and they said I should hear within the next two weeks...so more nervous waiting. *sigh*Leicester Fresher 2009!!
