Baki's TreeHouse Of DOOOOMM (ok..Not really...)
So to follow the trend of others, I am making a weblog to chronicle my endeavours, to get into medical school.
First entry:
First up, I have finally finished my PS and I'm now awaiting my tutor to send off my form.
I'm applyin' to Oxford in what seems like impossible conditions working against me, but you know what they say. If you want something, fight for it.
And I will.
And I should probably get back BMAT preparation.
PS: I'm pondering doing a BMAT course (every little helps), but I'm not sure I want to fork out £200+ for one.
I need to score in the 80th percentile for an interview at Oxford.
Oh well.
Peace out,
Baki

Two weeks or is it Three weeks, until the dreaded BMAT exam.
Pretty scary thought, my chances of going to Oxford are pinned on that exam.
On that note, Oxford and UCL have confirmed that they have received my application.
I actually got a letter from UCAS today, and initially I was scared to open it because I thought it might be a rejection letter(Because I already got my welcome letter). But turns out it was something else.
Back to BMAT/A2/AS revision for me.

Ok, I've done the BMAT like two weeks ago now. Was feelin' a bit down and then...
BAM!
I checked my email to find a glimmer of hope, a beacon of inspiration. AN INTERVIEW FOR KING'S oN THE 9TH!
So now I'm dancing to the scissor sisters song, "I'm so excited".

Ok here's an update people.
Got a rejection from Oxford, pre-interview.
My BMAT was horrible and depressing.
Had an interview at St Georges, rejected. Even more depressing.
And now I'm awaiting my Kings College reply (post interview).
And hoping UCL pity's me and decides to interview me.
Oh and I have a gajillion jan exams.
EDIT: AND this is my 1000'th post.

Its been some time since I've updated this. As of now, I am preparing for my final exams in June. Its going to be a real toughie!
As of now, I only have one university left to hear from. Kings College London (coincidentally, they're the first place to offer me an interview).
The wait is slowly chipping away at my sanity, but I don't have time to go bonkers since A-Level finals are close.
My January exam results were good, and I am incredibly happy with them. Loads of A's and I feel as though my hardwork has really paid off.
At any rate, till another day my readers.

Update time (or in other words, time for me to procrastinate -
)
Basically, did M1 about a week ago. Man was that hard, and I felt pretty confident about M1 beforehand. I wish I was one of those kids that saw all the logic in this maths bull****. On the upside, everyone I've talked too about the exam found it batsh** insane as well. So maybe the grade boundary for an A will be low.
Although in retroespective, I may be exageratting how hard it actually was for me personally (it was definitely, one of the hardest M1 Edexcel Papers out there). I mean, when I say I find a paper hard, it means that I found some of the questions challenging but I was able to knuckle through it. In other words, didn't exactly ace it but..an A is still possible.
I'm coming to grips with Nuffield unit 6, getting used to using the data book etc..
At any rate, back to revision for me. And heres to hoping I get AAA/AAB.
