Hughman's Lair
Howday folks!
This is my first blog.
Ever.
Aren't you all privileged to see an epic event in the making? :P
Anyway, I guess I might as well start from the beginning.
I'm originally from Greece -I lived and was educated there till I came here for secondary school. I'm now at KE VI Aston Grammar in lovely inner-city Birmingham. The rest is history really.
I've already sent my UCAS, and just see my sig for my choices. Now I'm just going to sit back and wait.
Well, actually, I might go and sacrifice a newborn lamb to the Admissions God(s) to appease them.

Well, had a rather eventful week. Had a mock interview with a certain Dr. Rayner, who is a Girton, Cambridge alumni, and the feedback said I had performed the best out of everyone. Then the next day I found out Leicester had invited me for interview! Score!
Well, got 10 days now to wait and see if Cambridge want to hear me bs for 40 mins. And two weeks till BMAT results! Eek!LEICESTER FRESHER 2009

Well, my Cambridge interviews were odd to say the least. I'm not at liberty to talk about specifics, but lets just say I wish I had done AS level maths. There was nothing about my Personal Statement at all. Just got to sit back and wait now, and hope I'm in the top 15 medics.
And now for something completely different:
My Leicester interview! Oh god, now I need to reread all the medical news stuff that I've neglected.LEICESTER FRESHER 2009

Wow, it's been a while since I've blogged. Might as well fill you guys in.
My Leicester interview was textbook perfect and thankfully, I got an offer.
My Nottingham interview....went badly. No offer.
Cardiff rejected me before interview, saying I don't meet certain requirements, which is lies.
Well, I'm going to Leicester then, grades permitting!
Time to research that shiz.LEICESTER FRESHER 2009

Exams are over, save for the pointless AEA Biology tomorrow. I'm 99.9% certain that I'll meet my offer of AAB, Chemistry, Biology and Physics respectively. It's 50:50 if I'll get an A in Physics. It would be nice to get it, but I'm not bothered as I've had to struggle with it for the past two years.

An update on my life:
After failing to get any jobs, I set up a car valeting service. For 8 hours work I've earnt as much as someone on minimum wage would in 20 hours. And I don't mind the work! It's relaxing/therapeutic and I work up a good sweat.
Once (if?) I'm at uni, I'll set up a WordPress blog to document two things: my progression through medicine, and something that I've taken a shining to for some time: Human and Social Dynamics. More on that later.LEICESTER FRESHER 2009
