i is a happy changy today :P
not for any particular reason, but i don't think i need one.

I shall sumerise the happenings of yesterday with appropriate sound effects (use your imagination)

grrrrr
yawn
bark
brum
brum
brum
brum
brum
brum (it took a long time)
plod
splash
crunch
oww
plod
munch
plod
plod
brum etc
yawn
snore

ok so now ill tell you about it and you can work out where the sound effects go in.

got woken up at the unearthly time of 6:00 by grumpy father and more grumpy puppy dog (hence grrr, yawn bark.. you getting it?)

so i then went to school at about 7.30, met the other people doing PE and drove to the middle of rural wales (it really did take THAT long), got dumped in the middle of nowhere and had to work our way back to a set place. muchus funus

so we walked up a range of hills that looked suspiciously like each other, got stuck in a v.deep and muddy ditch, had to have 3 people pull me out, walked up some more hills that looked suspiciously like the first lot and stopped for lunch. we then realised we had walked past the point we were meant to get to, so had to walk ALL the way back.

then we went home, and i went to sleepy bye town.

i was actually really fun, and i want to do it again. i like outdoory type things and getting muddy (and i was VERY muddy). but i cant map read very well hence having to walk nearly twice the distance we were meant to (i didn't tell them to make me navigator - they thought cos i know where various muscles are, i should know where various places are. there's logic in there somewhere im sure)

so that was my day, and a very enjoyable one at that. and i missed double chemistry, so it made all the more sweet.

see you later my lubblies

ooh im getting good at this - i havent forgotten to post in a while.

had an uneventful weekend - work, shop, sleep
also have had a stinking cold so my nose feelsand looks like its peeling away from my face, and as the shop was V. busy on Saturday, i think ive infected most of chester with it
never mind

work was bloody annoying. thought it was gonna be a good day cos the horrible checkout manager was on holiday, but it started badly and got progressively worse. First, the bottom fell out of a red wine bottle as i picked it up, so red wine went all down my trousers and shirt, as well as all over the conveyor belt. you don't realise how much liquid is in one of those bottles untill that happens - it was EVERYWHERE. i had to try to stop the wine making its way into the electrics with a number of plastic bags as there didn't seem to be one cloth in the entire sainsburys store. anyhoo this led to the checkout being closed, and me moving to the next one. i didn't realise how bad red wine smells, even with afore mentioned stinking cold, i could still smell it seven hours later. i also had a nicely stained red leg, which only partly came off in the shower. (the stain i mean, not the leg  )

oh and then a woman dropped a carton of cream, which combined with the wine did not make a nice smell. i cant stand milk/cream products, even the thought makes me feel ill, so that smell was revolting. in that way i was quite pleased about the blocked nose.

on a better note i got a whole 2.5% pay rise. so its not much, but it all helps i guess.

im gonna go now cos im meant to be doing revision.

see you later

what to do, what to do, what to do?????

i can tell you what i should be doing but thats no fun.
hence im on here.
again.

its been a funny few days, it's just starting to sink in that im leaving this nice cosy school and going out into the nasty wide world. im such a baby. i'm really looking forward to university, but the closer that gets, the closer the exams get, which im terrified about. we've just finished the whole PE and Chemistry courses and have almost finished Biology, so the exams seem closer than ever. its that feeling, that thats all the help im gonna get, so now its up to me to learn all the stuff we've been told in the last 2 years. god that scary

i guess i just have moments like this, when the whole task of A levels seems so big, not to mention med school - if i find it hard to cope with this how will i cope with uni? i suppose im the same as everyone tho. at least i hope so :?

on a lighter note, we're trying to think of things we can do in our last chemistry prac tomorrow which also happens to be april fools.

it on transition metals so we've got a few nicely coloured chemicals to play with. ill run down the list of ideas

- swap the potassium manganate (vii) for Ribena and when using it in the titration, decide we're thirsty and drink straight from the burette.
- put black ink around his safety specs, leaving him with an owl face
- writing on the back of his lab coat - something along the lines of "tickle my test tubes" etc.
- tie some cans to the exaust pipe of his car like a "just married" type
of thing

those are some of the ideas that were possible, there were alot more, but most broke at least 3 laws and all involved me in various states of undress

ill let you know how it goes........

Wow its been a while! I’ll try to update you in some sort of order, but this is gonna be a messy blog. Let me see…….
Ooh april fools was quite good – we abandoned the cans on the back of his car and drinking from the burette cos we figured it was a little too risky ( I was fine with it, but I wasn’t the one who had to drink it) so instead we had about twenty miniature inflatable love sheep which appeared in various places throughout the 2.5 hour lesson. That was quite good, as it got to the 16th sheep before he noticed (I’m still confused as to why a member of our class had twenty miniature love sheep, but I guess its not healthy to dwell on that for any length of time  )
We also managed to stick a sign saying “tickle my test tubes” to the back of his lab coat. Immature I know but it’s the little things that please me. Anyhoo, he wondered round the class for a bit then announced he was gonna do some photocopying, so walked round the office (the other side of school) then to 5 different classes and it was only in the 5th room that the supply teacher told him about the sign. hee hee.

That afternoon we also had the 6th form swimming gala. Not your typical gala. Its got events like “get your leg over” and “dirty dancing style” - use your imagination. Its those type of things that im definitely going to miss when I leave school – I don’t know if uni will have that sense of community.
So that was the end of term.

The Easter hols were ok – brother was home from uni and in a good mood for a change – doesn’t happen that often. Is weird cos we used to be at each others throats all the time when he lived at home, but now we really appreciate each others company. I think two weeks is enough though he was a bit stressed about his dissertation, the stats side of it because he only did maths up to GCSE, so I was able to help him a bit with that. Hope he does well – he deserves to. He always wanted to do history, and creative writing – he’s got an amazing imagination, but a teacher said he would never make as either a historian or a writer, so he’s did psychology at uni instead. He got Bs in both english lit and history at Alevel so he’s really angry with the teacher and I don’t blame him. I think he’s planning to finish his degree in psychology (which he finds v. boring) and do a second degree in archaeology. Don’t know why I’m telling you this, but it matters to me and its my blog so there. 8)

So the rest of the holiday was spent catching up with old friends, sleeping and watching tv. Oh and eating chocolate of course. I made a perfect revision timetable and did none of it so I’m a bit pissed of with my self, but I know the way I work so a timetable was never going to work anyway. I work well under pressure so I have to wait to the last minute for the revision to do any good.

So that was the holidays in a nutshell

I’m back at school now in the library not doing a lot. I’m seriously pissed off now because the talk that I did for PE has be chosen to be moderated, so now I have to learn it all over again, and do it to the chief moderator. Not a happy bunny. Never mind, next Wednesday it will all be over.

Got to go – the scary librarian is hovering around :x

There was a farmer who raised watermelons. He was doing pretty well but he was disturbed by some local kids who would sneak into his watermelon patch at night and eat his watermelons. After some careful thought he comes up with a clever idea that he thinks will scare the kids away for sure. So he makes up a sign and posts it in the field. The next day the kids show up and they see this sign, which says, "Warning, one of the watermelons in this field has been injected with cyanide." So the kids run off and make up their own sign, which they post next to the sign that the farmer made. The farmer shows up the next day to look over his field. He notices that no watermelons are missing but he notices a new sign next to his. He drives over to the sign and takes a look. It says, "Now there are two" 8)

well, well, well, it has been a while. it wouldn't have been that long, but a couple of weeks ago i wrote a really long blog, then the computor crashed + i lost the entire thing. ive been sulking ever since. now i have made up with the nice computor so we're all happy.

soooo.....what have i been up to? no, really, what have i been up to - i can't think of a thing.........

i got my last hep B vaccination last week - nice lady didn't make it hurt at all, so thats that untill the blood test in july. oh and i watched the chester cup race from the city walls so i didn't have to pay to get in ( yes yes i am tight) that was quite cool - very nice geegees.

ooh and that talk that i had to do to the moderator for PE went really well - he said it was the second best he'd ever heard (he'd heard a really good one on dance some years ago) so i've upped my grade to about 26/30 or so. trouble is he also moderated my swimming stroke and bearing in mind i havent been in a pool since christmas let alone done any serious training i might have gone down a few marks there. neh don't care any more - its still more than a C which it all i need this year for it to work out as an A in total.

we've been doing mock practical exams in chemistry for the past few weeks and its starting to worry me abit. i seem to be getting worse at them. hopefully a bit of revision is all it needs to bring it back to me. getting a bit worried about the biology synoptic paper too - having to write an essay on everything we've learned in the past 2 years in thirty minutes is not gonna be fun. if i wanted to write essays i would have done english grrrrr.

on a lighter note i got my accommodation forms for liverpool. don't no where to choose - i want to go self catering, but theres so few self catered rooms available on the main campuses. ill have a think about it and get back to you.............

yay sent my forms back to liverpool - hope i get what i want, just got to wait now.

why are all the nice blokes gay? ok so thats maybe an overstatement, but all the ones i like turn out to be gay. 2 blokes have come out at school (probly cos its the last week) and i had a eye on both of them - damnit. never mind - i shall continue to be single.

well i had my last biology lesson yesterday - was really nice cos we had a bucksfizz party on the school field and the teacher brought cakes and crisps and things. it was really nice - the sun was shinning and the view from the field across the countryside was fantastic. im gonna miss those classes - our group gets on so well - and the teacher is really lovely.

still hasn't really sunk in yet that im leaving - i think its cos everyones too concerned about the exams - whch i should be so ill leave you now and go and do some work!

i have just finished the chem prac exam - went ok, the implementing and planning were great, the analysis wasn't as good due to some mental blanks and a slight hangover.
it was our last day yeaterday - had a fantastic time - ill really miss everyone . i might end up going back next year to do a couple of extra a levels or something if i get offered a differed entery to liverpool. if i get AAB i get in this year, if i get ABB they let me in next year. still, if i come back it wont be the same cos no one else will be here of course.

neh, i just don't like change :? - i guess i should be thankful that i am sad about leaving, it means that ive enjoyed it. i really have enjoyed 6th form, i had a few problems lower down the school ie bullying, and i knew even then that i would love it in 6th form.

i guess i'll love uni as well - i just hope the group gell together as well as my classes have these past two years.

cu later.

well well well, that went alright. just had my AQA CHM1 resit. might have dropped about 5 or 6 marks out of 60 but thats still better than last time.

so what have i been up to? you see thats the problem, ive done quite a lot, which means i haven't done that much revision. damnit, why is life so complicated?

this isn't making much sense is it?

why am i asking you all these questions?

its not like your gonna answere them is it?

damnit im still doing it!

hmm.......
i could go home now..........but that would mean heaving my fat arse out of this chair.......

ooh my dads gone up to edinburgh today to finalise the sale of the flat up there. at least we'll have some money for a change, but its the last link ive got with my nana so im a bit sad.

neh. life goes on.

my brothers home too, which is a laugh a minute  he's finished his degree and is now doing sod all with really loud rock music on all the time while i try to revise.

and he's already annoyed my dad by getting an attitude when he told him to do something. do men never grow up? the trouble is they're too similar, and always wind each other up, so it ends up in a blazing row with me and my mum trying to keep the peace.

neh, i'm bored now.....

hhmm... ive got biology on tues and ive done sweet FA, so ive got to get some work done. had PE on Fri. was quite good. one of the synoptic essays was pretty odd - "Name an elite sportsperson of your choice, and discus why knowlage of force will help their performance in their particular sport"

so i waffled on about Beckam and Newtons law of inertia, accelaration and opposing forces for a bit and then added some more stuff about force production and the phosphocreatin system/major muscle groups ect and that was that. think i'll get a good enough mark - i seemed to get a lot of different information into it, just not in any particular order! well it should be more than a C any way.....

so what has happened in the last week or so........

my brothers a bit more cheerful (probly cos his girfriends coming to stay next week). and we're getting the drive done, so when ever you step out the door its like your walking on the moon - just one big grey crater. the noise of JCBs and neumatic drills adds to the sereen revision environment perfectly of course :x

saying that, im obviously not doing a huge amount of revision because im on this damn site all the time

so i shall be good and get on with it......after making some flapjacks

and perhaps a nice bowl of popcorn......

or ordering a pizza .........

sorry im hungry ( and obviously a very healthy eater  )

c u
