Bah!

Hello there, I'm an 18 year old male from West Sussex and i guess this is my 'web log'. I have just finished A levels in biology, IT and Psychology (yep, no chemistry!!) and I have an offer to study medicine at Durham (newcastle uni) which is AAB! Lately my spare time has been spent at Woolworths (working there) as a till monkey and sport (i play badmington religiously) spreading labour propaganda (going to young labour events, squashing tories and lib dems etc..), watching american sitcoms (west wing, ER!, Scrubs and Sex in the city, you gotta love it!) and finally hanging out with friends. oh and sleeping.
Orginally i wanted to go to America to study medicine, however, when i realised i would have a $300,000 debt i decided to stay in england untill after my PRHO year and then go to the land of the free to complete my residency, which means doing my american entrance exams while i'm at uni.
Its 13 days untill results, and I am scared, i really just wish the results would come out now as i am so tired of waiting!!

So today i worked at woolworths from 9-6 (woohoo!) where i conducted an undercover experiment and you will be interested to hear that 71% of the customers i served are overweight (that probably says something about me!) anyway that passed the boredom and then i got home and ate dinner (pasta....yum!) oh by the way im vegitarian (and im a freak!). and then i watched the episode of dawsons creek that i recorded earlier. and then i tried to find a low cost flight to new york as i want to get out of the country for a week or so after results (i havent been abroad for over a year!) well the flights are cheap but hotels are over $100 per night, so i may just sleep rough
Anyway i'll keep you updated with my boring life, if you are bored enough to read it then great! And if there are any people on the board going to newcastle/durham then please get in touch at premsut@hotmail.com it would be great to know some people before i get there! Bye for now

Currently i am:

Listening to: Frank Sinatra, Dave matthews band, Nightmares on Wax (all at the same time  )

Reading: Dilbert the future, Walden, History of the labour party

Watching: American sitcoms and Back to the future trilogy and the Ring on DVD (the new one...very scary!)

Hello again, well today was my day off work (Yay!) so I decided to make to most of it by waking up at 11:30 (!). I have an excuse though i was up late watching a movie the 'glass house' (amazing movie). Anyway as we have guests over the weekend my mother insisted that i cut the lawn before i could even eat breakfast, so i did. then i got ready and got a nice suprise when i realised it was pay day, and finally the day i could get the BOSE triport headphones (WoW!) it was a big day as i have been waiting 6 months to get these . So i went down to the store in Crawley, very nice store, pretty much everything had a 4 figure price tag. Anyway i parted with my 120 pounds and came out a better person :P . They are amazing, it like being in a concert hall! (http://www.bose.co.uk/headphones/triport/) Buy Them!!
Anyway, did some other shopping and met up with a friend for a late lunch and then went home and listened to my headphones and then met up with some friends for coffee at starbucks (vile coffee as usual) and then had dinner, I was planning to go out but friends, will and grace, scrubs and sex and city are on tonight, not to mention my recent purchase which made my wallet a tad lighter so its a night in for me, have fun what ever you are doing  Bye for now
(12 days to go..... getting more scared)

Hi there, i just realised i had a username afterall (premsut), but the computer wont let me use it!! Been a while since ive been here, been a bit preoccupied, with results and preparing for uni etc.
Not been up to much really, worked at woolies monday, tuesday and wednesday!! Um.. went to lunch with a friend which was fun as she turns out to be nuts, like me actually, the weather is a very welcome distraction i must say, im really loving it, nothing compares to the summer i spent in phoenix, arizona a few years ago, there it was about 130 F at 9am in the morning and it climbs to about 150 F (55 C) on the hottest days, now that is nice weather, not to mention the fact that i love america!!
Yesterday i watched ER at night what an episode that was!! amazing, apparently it was the 200th, im sure there are a lot of ER fans on here, it runs rings around holby city!! I say Bah to england!
Today i dont plan to do much, i got up and played badmington with a friend at the local leisure centre, and then went for coffee and now im here, plan to lounge about, maybe check in with the labour clan to find out events, canvasing etc, then i will setup my student account with HSBC (i get a free railcard, wohoooo!!). Then i'm gonna look for a laptop i like, all the ones are pc world resemble the vtech computer i had when i was five, so i'll have to do a bit of searching. I also found that our uni's will get our results on monday and our schools get them on wednesday, so we are the last to know as usuall! A friend at uni told me that she got her acceptance letter before her results, so im hoping that happens too! (Good luck everyone, im sure all your hard work will pay off) Anyway have fun whatever you are doing, enjoy the weather it wont be around for long :P Bye for now!

Currently Watching:
Donnie Darko (Its amazing Mark, you just have to watch it carefully, I love the southern conservative parents, its so 1990's)
Currently Eating: Cheerios
Currently Drinking: Ice cold Perrier (mmm bubbles)

Hello there i'm back after a bit of laziness! Well not really been up to much just work, work and more work at Woolies (Boooo!). At least it means i get some $$. Over the weekend i worked all saturday and then sunday too when my boss woke up a realised he had no staff, i was happy i get 8 pounds an hour on sunday for doing $!@8 all!!
Been on the Forum here, and chat, and then did a politcs debate locally too, smashed those tories (serves them right!) Go Blair! Ahem anyway  i met Some random person asked for my number at work today, i politely declined....how wierd! On another topic I know this is wierd but I think my boss is amazing, in a twisted way, he swares as much as possible in the same sentence, he is aggressive, and he hits shoplifters  anyway this guy is brilliant, the other day he tried to convince himself that a blue stripey shirt he just got was trendy, he planned to test run it at the local nightclub....poor them. Anyway this guy is great, totally cracks me up for the wrong reasons, when he isnt doing the above, he is talking about football (yawn) but still its something to amuse me at work.
Today (Monday) guess what i did......yep woolworths! today is good because all the good looking staff are in so i get distracted and pass time....shallow me  (i'm not shallow...honest it just gets boring at woolies). I worked from 9 30 am to 9pm, i know its insane, but the money comes in handy. Results in 2 days, i just want it to be over now. Anyway i better go now, hope you all had a good weekend. By for now!

Currently I am:

Reading: Saladin's Anatomy and Physiology
Listening to: Britney spears (please dont ask why, you know i'm wierd)
Watching: Will be watching recorded episode of spooks
Was gawping at: Britney Spears calender....yum (im not shallow.. i blame it on woolworths)

Well its a day after results, yesterday was the big day, got up at 7am to check UCAS, went to buy the independant and filled the car up with petrol, got shirt tie, etc in case i had to rush to an interview, and i turned up with my friend to school at 10:30 and it was open, although they werent supposed to open untill to 11, anyway we walked into the big hall, and i went to the desk with my surname on.....the teacher looked for the slip and then handed it to me....i think my heart skipped 5 beats or something, i looked, looked again and a third time, it read, Biology A, Psychology A, Computing A. I was in, it was over and I worked it when it mattered, I was so so so relieved, then i suddenly realised what did my friend get well, he didnt do so good, so i put my results away sat down and tried to comfort him, he is going to california, so the a-levels should not be the deciding factor, as he did brilliantly in his SAT exams, he should be fine, (right now he is flying over the Atlantic). So he asked if i could drop him off as he was pretty upset which i did, and then a teacher pulled me back and asked if i would come back for a picture in the paper (whatever, i thought) so i dropped him off and promised to come back when i found out what another friend (who has an offer on the same course as me) got, well i got to school, pretty much 80% of people missed thier grades which was a real shame, i really feel for them, although a lot did not work, but instead got drunk when they should have been revising, but that was their choice.

My other friend missed his grades too so he wont be joining me at durham, which makes me the only one in the class of 2003 to go into medicine  , its a real shame. Well then i went to see my friend and we decided to go see a movie later rather than get drunk, seeing as it was his last night in england. Went and saw the new american pie movie, it stills makes me laugh, good movie go see it. Anyway dropped him off after saying goodbye and promising to keep in touch (i hope we do). and then i went home it was 12 so i went to bed.

Today i got my UCAS conformation and a magazine from UCAS. Then i went into town and opened my HSBC student account, and then i ran into my friend who was supposed to go on the same course as me, but didnt make the grades. He had just visited the higher education centre and plans to take a gap year to do another a/s and go travelling, he was looking pretty upset, but i can understand, it must be really hard. So we went and had coffee and i helped him search for a/s levels he could do. Went home and had lunch, and here I am.... I hope everyone got the grades they needed and even if you did'nt keep trying we all get their in the end. Bye for now.
