Postman alleviated some paranoia this morning by delivering a "don't worry, we are still considering your application" postcard from Lincoln.

Along with a rejection from A&E for the post I applied for. At least they let me know.

p.s. I don't know whether anyone's noticed, but apologies for deleting most of my entries here. I did it in a fit of what-if-admissions-tutors-actually-read-these-things paranoia :|
If anyone's bothered, I can re-post them. If not, I'll leave them be.

Tatty-bye

So no-ones desperate for me to re-post my deleted ones. What a shame!

I've taken a liking to the medquiz on here. The only thing is that if you don't get the answer, it doesn't tell you the answer, so you don't learn. Although it has now sprung to mind that that's the point, I'm meant to go find the answer out myself, aren't I?

I've had an email from Leeds, they're sending me info about vacancies in the Biological Sciences faculty. May as well cover all my bases.

I think I have a bit to learn about forum etiquette. I think I've committed the equivalent of blowing my nose with a tablecloth.

My L plates have mysteriously gone missing. And my mom won't let me drive without them. Therefore I haven't practiced arghhhhh.

Worked from 10:00 til 19:30 and am pooped. I am in training for the years to come (hopefully). Speaking of which, I just watched ER, and Doctor Carter is still a babe. NOT why I watch it, I might add.

Had a nightmare of sorts last night. I checked UCAS Track and there was a funny symbol there. An F I think. Not an unsuccessful or anything, but I went to the key and it said that I had impressed them a lot but just missed out on a place. I was really upset and I just hope the dream was just that, and not a premonition! Of course I had to jump online as soon as my eyes opened, just to check. So far nothing.

Apparently there's more interviews being conducted on Monday, and seeing as I haven't been invited, I won't be included.

I'm off work with a bad neck. I'm allergic to NSAIDs so I sent my mom off to the pharmacy with the instructions to get me something to help. She arrived home with PARACETAMOL! PARACEEEEEEEETAMOLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, that doesn't even touch a headache on me. Apparently the pharmacist said that's the strongest thing he could give me. He needs re-training!

Anyway I'm in pain. Coming online's alright though because I keep my head still. Sleeping is hard though, what with the lying down involved and all. After three days off work I need a sick note, so I phoned up to make a doctor's appointment, and got through to the receptionist-from-hell. I hate having a young voice. People treat me like a 14 year-old.

I've been invited on a trip to Zanzibar in December. The package looks idyllic. Only one problem, the flight leaves from Johannesburg. I could combine it with a trip to Cape Town, then go to Joburg, but the cost would seriously eat into my nose job fund. Plus if I DO go to university this year, I wouldn't have time ...

Skinny people irritate me! Especially when they say things like, "You know, sometimes I just forget to eat." Now I've forgotten my address, my mother's maiden name, and my keys. But I've never forgotten to eat. You have to be a special kind of stupid to forget to eat.

Slightly worried as I have just looked at the guidelines for students with disabilities on the uni website. It says I have to disclose it else I could jeapordise my place if they find out later. This worries me as what if the information I give them jeapordises my chance of even getting a place in the first place? (Too many places!)

I gots me some codeine It doesn't help though. Pfrrt My physio friend reckons I have a locked disc in my neck, whatever that means. I am off to a chiropracter in a bit. I've always been a bit nervous of them, clicking things and whatnot. It's gonna cost me over a day's pay, and I'm on day 3 of no pay. Hope it works ...

In case anyone's wondering, no news. Big surprise eh? :P

Toodles

I've got faith of the heart

Ah so now everyone's getting on the bandwagon and rating this thread. Pfrrt.

I've just watched Patch Adams, I think it was on BBC1. SO INSPIRING!!!!

Chiropracter went okay ... still in pain though. She was very thorough. I didn't realise chiropractic was a 5 year degree too!

There was a very very scary/screamy spider incident while I was being treated. I was sitting on the bed/table/whatchamacallit and I heard her say oh.......my.......gosh.......... She was looking towards my feet, so I looked down and saw the BIGGEST MEANEST spider ever. I was totally unprepared for this and started screaming (I don't DO spiders ). She doesn't either, and was also screaming, but was very professional and chased it around the room trying to capture it with a paper towel. I only hope no one in the waiting room was there for their first session!!!!!!!!!!! OH it was traumatic, I tell you!

This song played when the credits rolled. It's so pertinent to my life right now.

Faith of the Heart (Rod Stewart)
- who happens to be coming to Derby shortly!

It's been a long road
Getting from there to here
It's been a long time
But my time is finally near
And I can feel a change in the wind right now
Nothing's in my way
And they're not going to hold me down no more
No they're not going to hold me down

'Cause I've got faith of the heart
I'm going where my heart will take me
I've got faith to believe
I can do anything
I've got strength of the soul
And no one's gonna bend or break me
I can reach any star
I've got faith, I've got faith
Faith of the heart

It's been a long night
Trying to find my way
Been through the darkness
Now I finally have my day
And I will see my dream come alive at last
I will touch the sky
And they're not going to hold me down no more
No, they're not going to change my mind

I've known a wind so cold, seen the darkest days
But now the winds I feel are only winds of change
I've been though the fire and I've been through the rain
But I'll be fine, oh yeah
