About me
I have been reading this forum which has inspired me to create my own log......Plus I'm bored since finishing my OU course.
Where shall I begin....?
My name is Trudy, I'm 24 and I'm married with a beautiful, but very naughty son. At times he can be a little devil
In 1999 I moved to Nottingham, and met Martin (my hubby in 2000). We got married last year. It's my sons birthday next month, he will be 2.
Being a 'Housewife', can be very boring. So I took an Open University Course S103-Discovering Science, this year, which I really enjoyed. Now that has finished and boy am I bored!!!!!
I have, well, for a very long time, wanted to pursue a career as a Doctor. I found out that some Uni's accept my OU course along with others, so I decided to get off my back side and do something about it. So last week I applied through UCAS, and what hell I had doing that!
I found it SO hard to get a referee, but managed to find one, a woman who taught me a year ago. I sent her my form in mid September and wrote a note saying that I needed it back no later then 10th October. Well, I waited and waited, the 10th came and went, NO FORM!!!! So on the Monday 13th, I went to the college to get it, and got a shock. It was the worst reference ever, it basically a paragraph, which was clearly wrote in her coffee break  However, in the same day tracked down an old employer, and got them to write me a on the spot reference, which was 1000 times better. I managed to send my form off the same day, and it got there on the 14th.
I have applied to the widening access course at Soton and foundation course at St Georges, so fingers crossed. I have also applied to 2 Access to medicine courses at King's Lynn and Norwich, trying to open up as many avenues as possible.
Going now to watch Peter Kay Phoenix Nights, laters

Decided to cook a nice hearty meal from my Jamie Oliver cookbook. My husband can't stand him, thought it was funny when he fell of his bike, but loves the food nevertheless. It took me and hour and half just to cut up the veggies, but I know it will be worth it in the end. It's in the oven cooking now, 5 hour lamb with veg 'n' that, PUKKA!
Just finished watching neighbours and my daily round of Doctors, please don't laugh! I think now that City hospital has finished, that is the highlight of my day.
Put my son to bed about an hour ago, as he decided to throw a tantrum and lob a tape measure at my head  , good for me it missed, would of bloody hurt if it got me!
Now I'm sitting on my backside, with a nice cup of coffee and some classical music playing in the background. It's alright for some...

Today has been a day like any other, bored stupid!
Still awaing on my AS2 letter, but nothing as of yet. Although I only posted off my UCAS form last monday.
My Jamie Oliver meal went down a treat. Took long enough to cook the thing! I gave some to my son  who decided to throw it up against the wall, much to his amusement, much to my distress. I'm sure the older he is getting the naughter he is becoming, and he knows it!
I have been ringing around trying to get work experience, but nothing has come of it. Sometimes I think, why do I need work experience, surely I have enough just being a mother? Cooking, cleaning, part time nurse, doctor oh and arse wipper :?
Ranting on a bit. Off now to watch the Holy Grail which is known as neighbours and Doctors. Same routine......
Until the next time I decide to moan...Take care!

Oi Oi! You lucky people!
Post came today, still no AS2 letter. So rang up UCAS to find out if my application has been processed. The very nice man told me that my application was indeed on their system, and in fact both Soton and SGMS should have received it today. Don't know whether to be pleased or worried, but at least I know it's happening!
Felt a bit hung over this morning, had one too many glasses of red wine! The last thing I wanted to do was change a soiled nappy  Still, I feel ok now
I have managed to do all my chores and watch the usual tv programmes
Get Holby last night, there is no way Nik is the Kellor killer, he is far too sweet! I think it's his evil sister!
As I writing this, my Son has climed up onto the chair and farted straight into the back of my head. Charming! The thing is he finds it funny, and therefore strains out more. I can tell as he hold his breath, grunts, then another one emerges!
I'll be off....

YEAH!
AS2 Letter came this morning! Checked it on the UCAS tracking system straight away, knowing full well there would be nothing on there. Nevertheless, checked it anyway, says the standard 'Application is being considered'. I gather that's what most peoples say, although after reading the forum, some lucky people have already been called for interviews.
Found out that I have to post my OU results to my choosen Uni's once I receive it in December, and that once the AS2 letter has been sent, the universities applied to would have already received a copy  .
Just got out of a nice hot bath, so relaxed at the mo. I have to go to Tesco later to do my weekly shop, so looking forward to that, I don't think. I have managed to talk Martin into getting a nice Indian takeaway tonight, well it saves me slaving away. Might try my luck and get him to buy some wine
Going to try and limit my entries, as I don't want to bore people with my sad life.

THE WEEKEND HAS LANDED!
Said I would cut down on my entries, well I lied! Well, at least for today!
Thanks to Fluffy, I had a really nice curry, which I purchased from Tesco, last night. I also managed to twist Martins arm, and got some wine. However, after our dinner and a couple of glasses, Martin decided to fall asleep, leaving me to watch American Werewolf in London, Thanks babes
Today, I have been doing the usual, running after Sir Poo A Lot (aka my little boy), watching afternoon TV (a God send!), and looking at the tracking system every 5 seconds.
I'm so sad.... I know, infact we all know, we probably won't hear anything for a while regarding our choices, but human nature, being as it is, still makes me look. It's like the classic, 'Don't push that button', so what do you do, push it!
Martin is going to be home soon, so I better start dinner

Hello,
Just a quicky!
This morning. I received a letter from the College of West Anglia, King's Lynn, regarding the Access to Medicine course I applied to a little while back. They have invited me to an interview!!! Friday 14th November @ 12:00. So trying to find out as much as possible.... Also going to by a trouser suit, to make sure I make the right impression.
Not much has happened today. Went shopping, ran around after my Son, oh and my husband, that's about it.
Forgot to mention that my Son is called Carter, no no, not after Dr Carter in ER, but after Michael Cain in 'Get Carter'.
Off now to enjoy the weekend.

The weekend has just flew by!
Yeterday I went to Tesco, and managed to spend £51!!! Which I was not planning on doing, as I don't have that much money at the moment. On top of that I ordered my train tickets online, for my King's Lynn interview, which cost me a further £71!!!   Bloody expensive.
Aside from all he money I spent, I made a really nice beef dinner from my Anthony 'Wozzer' Thompson cookbook. It was lovely, had a really nice mustard and red wine sauce with it
I have been really sad this weekend. I have been in the Christmas mood for a few weeks now and brought the majority of my pressies. So yesterday wrapped them all  Now I'm bored as I have nothing else to wrap, and after all the money I spent yesterday, have to wait a while longer to buy some more.
Today I managed to convince Martin to throw a sicky, and we took Carter to the park. He really loves it there, straight on the slide and swings, and that was Martin
Spent more money today, on the Council Tax, I really hate paying that
Checked the UCAS tracking system a few times today, no news is good news
Martin is cooking tonights dinner, Steak and chips, yummy.

My train tickets arrived today for my trip to King's Lynn, so at least that is out the way.
Martin is still off work, can't be arsed to go in as he hates it that much.
Yesterday we took Carts to the park where he made friends with a little girl who was 3 times his age. He has definitley got an eye for the older woman, whenever 7 year old girls walk past him in town, all I see is his head wondering.
Today I went to Pound Strecher and brought some candles and sweets for Halloween, then we walked to Tesco and brough Booze for today and a pumpkin. Every year since Martin and I have been together, Martin carves out a face in the pumpkin, he is like a big kid  We also brought Cujo and The Exorcist for Hallows night, so I'm going to be scared witless!
Still keep on checking the UCAS tracking system every couple of hours, I can't help it, it's turned into an obsession
Better be off, Neighbours is starting
