So much for working on my third year project! I have not been into uni once since June although I have managed to write another couple of hundred words for my introduction. My mission is to finish my intro and methodology before I get back and go into uni in Aug. I thought I would take a good long month off after the hectic year I have had, plus it's the last looooooonnnnnng holiday I will get as next year I only have two weeks.

Money is once again tight! It's always around end of July to mid sept I struggle with it, I'd thought I would have learned by now! Next year I'm putting some money aside just incase and have promised to spend less. I have thought about getting a job over the summer but it's impossible due to the high student population in Nottingham, plus the fact that most courses finished long before mine they had the opportunity to sign up with agencies early, also if I was to gain employment now it would have an effect on our Tax Credits for the rest of the year therefore I would be worst off in the long term. I am however doing the odd 2/3 days here and there at the uni, which is some pocket money. In a couple of weeks I'm working on the clearing hotline for a couple of days, followed by showing people around the Medical school is Sept.

It was my birthday last Sat, I can't believe I'm 29!! I had a really nice day. I met my Mum in Nottingham and we had a day of shopping and a nice lunch with a couple glasses of wine. When I arrived home Martin had a little party ready with the kids, it was really fun .

My house is still on the market which is highly depressing! I really don't see it selling even though we have put the price down again!

Well that's all I can think of to write. I'm having the loft insulated this afternoon and have kept Carter off to keep me company as he finished school on Wednesday.

Third year is going well so far, in fact too well which makes me think I am definitely doing something wrong. I am loving my project which involves clinical visits to NICU and lots of time at home Friday I handed in my intro now I have to concentrate on my methodology. It's great being able to work in my own time as well as having lots of time to myself as I am able to study for Usmle Step 1, yes that's right I am planning on working in the USofA when I qualify.

Apart from uni life is treating me well. The kids are both doing well, Carter is now area 2 at school and is loving it. Lauren will be starting school next September, which is scary as it seems she was only born yesterday, I will be sheding a tear once again on that event.

Well that's a quick update.

Since I have written in this thing I have had two exams, and have managed to write my introduction and methodology for my dissertation, so not bad going. Data collection for my project is meant to be ending in two weeks, however I think I will have to keep it going up until near the hand in date, as things are going very slowly. The only other piece of work which is due 18th is a patient leaflet and commentry, which I should be writting now while things are slow, but I'm in one of those 'can't be arsed' moods, so have been spending the day looking on eBay for Christmas presents for family.

Carter, turned 7 last week!! It's scary how fast they are both growing! He enjoyed his day bowling and eating out at Frankie and Bennys, although it put a large hole in my wallet!! Things are so expensive these days!! Lauren turns four on the 13th, more expense!

I am stressing out with regards to financing the course next year! I am not sure if I will be entitled to a full student loan and LEA help during my 4th year, or have to claim the NHS bursary? The faculty are currently looking into it, but I have a feeling it's going to be the latter due to the additional year at Lincoln. If that's the case I am going to get less money than I am getting now, and I am already struggling with my Loans and Bursaries!

Christmas is not far off, and I still have lots to get! I have decided to put up the tree on the weekend, and get the kids to help while listening to festive tunes! I am a big kid at heart, love this time of the year

Well, I better go back to researching stuff for my coursework.
