I'm so tired today. I have managed to do some more coursework for Chemistry, but it's starting to get on my nerves, so I have stopped it for today. For the rest of the week, I will be doing biology.
I found out some news today, however I am going to wait for a while until I divulge this news on my blog. I don't want to jinx things right now.
Carter is at nursery, so I have no-one to bother me. When I dropped him off, he did not want me to go. Normally he is straight in, not even giving me a second glance, I hate to leave him when he wants me so much. Although, I bet, as soon as I pick him up, he will throw a tantrum as soon as he sees me. It's so embrassing when he does that, I'm sure they think I lock him in the shed as soon as he gets back ops:
Tomorrow I am going to be taking him to playgroup, as it's the last one for two weeks. It's really nice getting out of the house, even if it is for an hour or so.
My tickets still have not arrived for my journey to Southampton. I am really looking forward to going, as I feel it will be insightful and give me an opportunity to see what the course is all about.
Well, bye for now bloggy.

Last Saturady, we were mean't to paint the hall, however one thing lead to another and it never happened! So, we started it yesterday. At the moment 3/4 of it is painted white, as we need a base coat due to how dark the previous horrid paint is. Now, Martin is up a ladder trying to paint the rest of it, while I am writing this. Today we brought some nice light yellow paint, which will brighten it up and make it look a whole lot bigger.
I have ordered a new carpet for the living room and the stairs, which is long overdue. It's cost me £300, but at least it will be worth it and hopefully cut my gas bill down come winter.
Tomorrow I'm off to Southampton for two days, and I am really looking forward to getting away for a bit! I have to get up rather early for my three & a half hour train journey, so I will be knackered by the time I get back late Tuesday night. The two days sound really good, it's mostly based at the hospital, and I get to meet current med students and do some hands on practicals. I also get to stay in halls, which will bring back memories Martin wants me to bring him back a present, as he does not want me to leave him all on his own, aaaaaaahhhhhh
Martin has the rest of the week off, so I can relax while he paints and does DIY.
Bye bloggy, until we meet again (probably Wednesday  )

Well, I'm back....
The last two days at Southampton have been excellent! I arrived at Southampton train station at 10:50 Monday morning, and met loads of people who were waiting for Linda. It felt strange as everyone was in groups, and for a bit I felt like the odd one out. When Linda arrived, I was introduced to another 'mature' student, who was a really lovely person! For the rest of the day, we were based at the hospital and talked to Medical students, the head of all the medicine courses, and a day in the life of a consultant. A current wamp student was also there, who gave us loads of info, which was really useful. That evening, we had a posh three course meal followed by a night of bowling.
Tuesday, we went back to the hospital, Linda and a lecturer for the wamp course, spoke about what to expect. We then had a very interesting talk by a surgeon, Dr Khan, who's talk was a smack in the face for some people. However, I thought he was great, as gave it as it is, and not what people wanted to hear. In the afternoon we had a practical clinical skills session, where we learned to check ears & eyes, bandage, take blood pressure and CPR. I must admit, that was my favourite part of the whole two days! I swapped names and numbers with the mature student I met, as well as telling people about this web site, and how much info was on here. I got back to Derby about 9:45, yesterday. As soon as I got home, I logged onto this site ops: , after which I went to bed, as I was very very tired!
Today, after Carter goes to nursery, Martin and I are going to have a nice pub lunch, minus the booze, as I don't want to turn up to nursery drunk  Tomorrow, Iam going to take Carter out to Lanky Bills Fun Shack, to make up for me not being around the last two days, so I'm looking forward to that.
Martin has nearly finished the hall. It definitely has to be done by next Wednesday as our new carpet is going to be fitted. I am hoping it will make this house warmer as it's freezing at the moment.
Coffee time now, must dash...

This week has been a good one, pretty relaxing. Martin has finished the hall, apart from the glossing  . He has also managed to get half the paint over the carpet, but we are getting the new one fitted on Wednesday, so I can't complain, not too much anyway
Yesterday, I brought a Chinchilla! I was having one of my mad days, and decided to finally buy one. I have always wanted one, since being a child, but my Mum always said no. It was hard to convince Martin, but I managed to talk him around like always. He is SO cute. His name is Barnie, and he is a white Chinchilla, which is quite unusual, compared to the normal grey ones. Last night we allowed him to run around the living room, however he nearly got lost up the chimney at one point, and it took us 30 mins to track him down and put him back in his cage. My knees were red raw by the time I got him.
My Mum is coming to see us today. She is bringing Carter's Easter egg, and is taking us out for a pub lunch, weather permitting. I will make sure she does not drink too much, as I know what she is like.
I'm off to watch Monsters INC, I love Pixar, I now have every single DVD. The next film looks very funny, The Incredibles. I will definitely go to the cinema to see that, and will use Carter as an excuse
Bye

I hope everyone had a nice Easter! I did. Martin brought me a personalized Thortons Egg, which was very nice indeed! I have managed to eat all the chocolates, but have yet to start eating the egg.
Both today and yesterday, I spent most of the day glossing the hall. I managed to finish the rest of it off this morning, so all is left is the carpet, then our little project will be complete.
Today, we went to Weatherspoons and had a cheap lunch and a lemonade. Carter started kicking off, so we had to leave as soon as we finished our meal. As soon as we set off he fell asleep in his buggy, which is always the way. Martin is now listening to the stupid football in the conservatory, while I'm in the lounge typing this up. I really can't stand listening to footy on the radio, to me it's just one great noise which gets rather annoying after a bit :x
I'm so tired at the moment, I might go to bed for an afternoon nap, how sad is that? I doubt I will though, as Martin will moan about the fact that he is going back to work tomorrow, and that it is a waste of the day!
Tomorrow I'm going to get back into my OU work. I have not done any for a week now, and feel really guilty about not doing any. I'm a bit behind on the chemistry, so I think I will make a start on that.
Better go, Martin has just demanded I go and join him and the Cartman in the other room...

Yeah, I have carpet! The two men came at 9:20 and were finished by 11:30. It's so nice to have something soft to walk on instaed of hard horrid floorboards. At least now, when Carter decides to throw a tantrum, he has a soft carpet to take it out on instead of a hard wooden floor.
I received my first TMA score for my Chemistry course today, and was a bit disapponited with the result. I got 79%, which I know is good, but I really thought I would have got over 80%. Oh well, I'm just going to have to work twice as hard for the next one, which I'm doing at the moment. I hate chemistry :x
I better leave my blog for now, as I have so much work to catch up on, after not doing any all last week, tut tut! :?

At the moment I am sitting in my lounge with loads of chemistry books around me. I have been doing this damn subject all day, and I have finally gone barking mad Now I know why I HATE chemistry so much :x I'm stuck on a bit about polymerization, and I'm have an idea, but need someone to point me in the right direction with regards to a query I have. So if any chemistry buff reads this, PLEASE send me a PM, so that I can run through my query with you!?!
Apart from that, I have done nothing else all day. I have formulas going past my eyes every second, and that's without a text book in front of my eyes  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Someone cart me off to the funny farm now....

First of all, I would like to thank a couple of people who helped me out with my chemistry, I still hate polymerization, but at least it's a little clearer then it was on Friday.
Today, I'm giving the chemistry a rest and studying my human biology and health, a subject which I definitely prefer. However, everytime i go to start I think of something else to do instead. I hate being lazy, I blame the weather!
If I have to watch Bugs Life anymore time this week, I'm going to throw the TV out the window. I must have watched it 8 times last week, and now it's on again  It's Carter's favourite film, and was mine up to two weeks ago! I never thought I could get bored of it, how wrong was I!?!
I had a relaxing but slightly boring weekend. All I did was lounge around, and do a bit of work, that was it. I think that's set me off in lazy mode for the rest of the week, something I need to snap out of and fast, considering I have two TMA's I need to get in in the next couple of weeks.
On that note, my books are calling me to open their pages.

All work and no play makes Trudy a dull girl....
For the last two days I have been working very hard trying to finish book 2 for my Human Health and Biology course. I'm now on the last chapter, which I am really enjoying. It's all about the immune system, and the way it works, so I have been bookwormed for most of the morning.
Playgroup was back up and running today, so I went for a couple of hours with Carter and the woman down the road. When we got there, Carter thought I was going to leave him like I do when I take him to nursery. So he clung onto me for the first ten mins, after which time he put two and two together and knew I was not going to leave him. We managed to do a couple of nice piccys, one of which I'm going to give to my Mum when she next comes to see us. We played with the toys and books, and Carter even sat still for story time!
Since I got back, I have been reading and highlighting the last chapter of my book, before going on today and tomorrow copying it up, so I have my notes ready for October exams. Carter is in bed, so I don't have CBEEBIES going on 24/7, hence it's nice and peaceful, apart from a stupid alarm which is going off every 5 secs!!!! :x
Now I have had my break, I better go and do some more work before Neighbours and Doctors start.
x
