Hey, sorry for the late-ish reply. I think it's unlikely to change this year given the current fiscal policies of this Government, so we'll probably have to fund the first £3000+ of the first year with the rest covered by student finance. We should still be eligible for maintenance loans.

You should still be able to apply for your maintenance loan from student finance, if you usually get one from them. You cant apply for your NHS bursary until your 2nd year and from then on they pay the tuition fee, thats how it has been for us so far (I dont know if this will change if there are any increases in the tuition fee). Warwick did allow you to split your tuition fee in your first year so you can pay in installements every few months, if that helps. You can always email and ask if thats something that is putting you off from applying its worth finding out for definate!

Just got my degree results a few days ago (2:1 in Psych), so I'll alsoo be applying for 2013 entry. Does anyone have any idea of what kind of UKCAT score we should be aiming for? I was rejected last year with 640 (VR: 640, AR: 700, DA: 800 & QR: 420). As you can see by my score, I made the stupid mistake of spending a really long time on a difficult question on the quantitative reasoning section and by the time I gave up and saw how easy the other questions were, I'd ran out of time and couldn't answer them.

Hi e_bruce,
I think I scrapped through to interview (and eventually got an offer) with a 682.5 UKCAT; but expect it to be more competitive this year with Warwick's reduced degree requirements. I didn't hear of anyone getting an interview with less than 675, so I imagine the exact cut off this year was between 675 and 680.

I think the cut-off last year was 675, with 670-675 most likely being the waiting list cut-off (I know of someone on the waiting list with 672.5).
Pity about your QR score e_bruce, hopefully this time round your score will jump up though! I'm aiming for >700 VR, 640 QR, 660-700 AR and 700ish on DA (fingers crossed!)2013 Entry

I'm in the same situation as you atm, just got my degree back got a high 2:1 (disaster Management), i applied last year but didn't get in. I have just been deployed to Thailand by work for a minimum 6 months wasn't going to apply this year but since i can do the UKCAT in Bangkok not far from work I'm going to have a crack at it and see my score before deciding whether to apply again

Same here!! Non science background (MA Creative and Media Enterprises from Warwick) but crazy determined to study medicine
Im also an international student (india) so was wondering if the combination of the two would make my chances way too slim?! any idea if there are any non science, non UK/EU students who have been accepted? Loved Warwick when i did my previous degree there so its my first choice but if any one has any recommendations im all ears
Writing my UKCAT in three weeks! Loads of luck and positive vibes to all you guys!!!!

hello!
I've just done the ukcat and got an average of 680 (QR 740, AR 600, VR 670 DA 710). I think 680 is pretty near last years cut off but with warwick now accepting degrees from any discipline, do you think it is even worth trying with this score?
