Transcripts of your degree...
Hi everybody, I've stalked this website for a while now but this is my first post

Im going to apply for medicine for the first time this october for 2013 entry..
Im currently a masters student and achieved a 2.1 hons for my undergrad
However, I was just wondering how common it is for med schools to ask you to provide transcripts of your degree?
Do any GEP's ask this and does warwick in particular?
(i only just got a 2.1)
Thanks everyone

Yes, they do. A 2:1 is a 2:1 at the end of the day!

I was under the impression that if you were a UK grad, you wouldn't need to show your transcript, just your degree certificate.
BSc '11 (2:1), MSc '12 (in progress).
UKCAT: 697.5
Applied to:
Barts and The London SMD GEP - Interview 15/2/12 (joint consideration with Warwick)
University of Warwick GEP - Interview 15/2/12 (joint consideration with Barts and The London SMD)
University of Southampton GEP - Acknowledged
Barts and The London SMD A100 - Interview 14/2/12
Applied to three med schools, will have two degrees under my belt, but all I need is one medicine offer...fingers crossed for 2012 entry!

Yuh, this is pretty much right- Warwick will require you to send something from the awarding institution to certify the degree and classification. I easily got this from the registry. And don't worry, as sa119 said, a 2:i is a 2:1 whether at 60% or 69%; Warwick will not distinguish between either.
Good luck!Warwick Medical Student, Phase II

Applied to KGT & BSMS A100, Warwick & S'oton A101. Only BSMS required a transcript.

Thanks everybody, that's really helpful, i just didn't want my application to be seen as weaker if they asked for my transcripts and i didn't have 65-69%
much appreciated.

Glasgow required me to put in all my module grades. Aberdeen, Dundee and Newcastle - I sent transcripts via email once acknowledgements came in...
