    Non science degrees

Has anyone had an interview/offer at Warwick without having a science degree?

Plenty of engineers etc on my course, plus an oceanographer and geographer. Heard someone had a degree in egyptology. Most seem to cope with demands of the course though A levels in bio and chem are a massive bonus.

You don't necessary need a life science degree but you do need some sort of science degree. They have a list of acceptable degree on their website.

    Hello,

You don't necessarily need a BSc, there are people in my year with BA degrees, if that helps

oh that's great to know, thanks. That must be a new thing (accepting BA) cos when I checked the web site they only listed science degrees.

I have a BSc but in computing so wasn't sure if they would accept that, will have to give them a call.

Getting in touch with them is probably your best bet, as they do sometimes accept degrees that are not on that particular list! However, they are pretty busy right now so you might have to be patient waiting for an answer

I can't say my Bsc Physiology was particularly useful - mainly because i didn't make many useful notes. though, many biomedical scientists in my year found their UG notes very helpful.

My advice before starting the course is just do some gentle reading. there wasn't any non-science degree holders at that time. im sure WMS have considered this so might be able to push u in the right direction.

i did alevel chemistry, and dont remember a single bit! maybe human biology might be useful. good luck!
