Problems applying - ECFMG not accepting MBBS as a degree title

Has anyone else had this problem with ECFMG - they are saying the only valid degree title that you can have listed if you are in medical school in the UK is MB ChB (as per the IMED website for most UK schools).

My original application was refused because I put down 'MBBS'.

I put down my expected degree as MBBS and had no problem.

When did you apply?

UCL's official degree title on that IMED website is listed as the MB ChB too.

So much BS - it cost me an extra 40 bucks to reapply because they upped their prices on Jan 4 too. The cynic in me thinks they refused me because they knew I would reapply and pay the extra cash!

I applied towards the end of 2008. Have no idea if I will run into problems when I send my degree certificate to them when I graduate though.

St George's has now updated ERAS to reflect correct degree title. You might want to ask UCL to do the sam.e

And got scores back today - ecstatic with my 254/99! I used a lot of the
recommended study advice on this forum and SDN.
