    Hi Arsa,
Like you said, that list was updated in 2007 when UEA had just graduated its first batch. The WHO directory is not the important one but rather, the IMED directory from FAIMER is what USA looks at. I am also from Canada and I think Canada is concerned with the directory too, but I am not sure. UEA is listed in this directory:

    https://imed.faimer.org/results.asp?...name=&psize=25
    High school grade: 90%
    UKCAT: 647.5
    UCAS: Oct 15
    Choices:
King's (5 year)- acknowledged Nov- rejected w/out interview
    HYMS (5 year)- rej 11/06 w/ interview
UEA (5 year)-- interview Feb 18- Offer March 1st- FIRM!
    Birmingham (5 year)-rejected March 12
It's been quite a cycle but off to medical school come Sept '10!!

    Hi guys,

I must say that I'm more and more inclined to accept the UEA offer... it seems we'll be quit a diverse lot!

Hi Jim, I'm in my second year, but also a graduate in Biochemistry. I'm running low on golden nuggets of info at the moment, my best advice for the first year (esp the first semester) is just to enjoy it. Module 1 isn't the hardest in the world so don't stress yourself out with it! Can't think of much else, other than don't run out and buy a stethoscope... you won't really need it in the first year!!

    Hi All,

Agree with you psjorge, we certainly look to be a diverse bunch! I too am looking to firm UEA soon. I am a graduate with a PhD in cancer epidemiology and an MPH. I have been working as an academic at a university in a post-doc position for the last year but have resigned to be a full-time student again

I too am something out of the Jurassic era and will be 32 when I start with you all in September (so easy on the oldie here please!). I also have a family with a 2 and-a-half year old daughter.

The decision to go back to full-time uni was very daunting as a graduate, but I am happy to see there are lots of graduates on the course and I'm sure we will have lots of similar experiences to share.

Excited and nervous at the same time but looking forward to seeing you all in September!

I must say this sounds incredibly interesting. I have an interest in research and I have considered going into full time research and teaching at a uni. I was just wondering which uni you worked at? Also, what brings you into this field after having such a stable career?
