Arrow A104 Medicine With Foundation 2010 Applicants?

Hey guys, I was wondering who on NMM forum applied for the medicine foundation at UEA for 2010 entry?

Which other med school choices you have? What are your predicted grades (if applicable)?

When do we hear from them regarding interview dates?

Write back and good luck to all!

Hi PsyChirurgus, I am also applying for the A104. I am predicted A*, A, B... And I am also doing A’ level Biology in one year - something that we have in common. According to the UEA website they interview in March, though I believe that they may have also interviewed some candidates in February. I am also applying for Southampton BM6 et al...

Hey CJ89, I'm impressed by your predicted grades! I still don't have one co'z my referee has only known me for 2 months, but she'll predict me something hopefully next year. Do you think your high-grade predictions will impress the foundation med school admissions or not? Co'z I think one of the criteria for foundation/widening access to medicine is that you need to demonstrate that you will benefit from the course. Beig predicted A*AB would question them why you didn't apply for standard courses... (just a thought).

UEA emailed me asking to supply more info about my application, so I just emailed them back.

I also got an email from UCAS saying my UCAS Track has just been updated. when I checked my Track - it hasn't changed anything...hmm weird.

So where do you do your 1 year A levels in Biology?

Hi PsyChirurgus, I have yet to receive any correspondence from UCAS concerning Track updates... Hopefully things will begin to progress during the next month, or so. I am currently doing Biology at my local college; which is very convenient. Have you obtained any other A’ level qualifications in the past...?

Your choices run nearly parallel to mine... I have also applied for Bradford; however, I have applied for the first year course, as opposed to the foundation year. We also differ on one other choice, as I have applied for Cardiff, Biomedical sciences. Have you received an e-mail from UEA acknowledging your application?
