Graduates applying for UEA? Come on down!
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say a big hello and good luck to anyone applying!
I'm a 24 2:1 Philosophy and Religious Studies Graduate with the Chemistry and Biology kindly provided by my Science Foundation Distinction. I managed to get an interview last year but got an average on one of the stations, and I'm certain I know which one, so I got a sad unsuccessful on track. I'm having another bash as I really loved UEA, I really liked the course and the Uni. I'm not sure if I'll be lucky enough to get an interview this time, given the up and down nature of this applying game, probably not, but hey!
Massive good luck to all!
Just wondered about the other grads out there applying? Who's with me!?

Hey im applying to UEA, woop! UEA was my insurance choice for my current degree and at the moment i'd have to say it would be my ideal choice for medicine. I somehow ended up at a dinner in Norwich a few years back with the guest speaker being the dean of the medical school. He really emphasised that the medical course was up and coming and i was sold then lol. Little bit nervous about the interview style. What do these stations consist of, how long are they? It seems you must get a good at each station in order to gain an offer :s

Hi everyone. I am a podiatry graduate with a 2.1 - applying to UEA to study medicine for the second time hopefully get an interview this time. i only got averages for my statment last time - so did not even get an interview - but this year got some advice on it so fingers crossed. I have been offered a 6 month contract in Australia in Janaury so am hoping they interview me before they go. Does anyone know what type of funding is available for graduates studying medicine as a second degree? I know that on the graduate programmes you only have to pay for the 1st yeat but competition for places is much stiffer - hence why i am applying for five year courses1

hey, also a graduate applying. 1st in Biochemistry. Am hoping the 1st makes up for the disastrous UKCAT i got. The course and the Uni look really good. Im thinking it might be my 1st choice if i was offered. Can anyone tell me zbout the area the Uni is? Im applying from Ireland. Whats the surrounding city like? Good night life? Facilities? Is it a young city? Any feedback would be great. Thanks

Hey UEA is close to the city centre - so really good location and there is lots of housing should you want to rent privately outside uni accomadation. Also most of the placements are offered by local NHS partners so should not be too much travelling. check out the follwoing site - hoe it helps. Living in Norwich - University of East Anglia (UEA)
