There's a part of the application form for medsoc which is for the mentoring programme. It says we'd be assigned two mentors and they ask for anything you can tell them about your background to help them match you swith someone appropriate.I think it's a very good thing.

That's the way it worked last year - everyone got mummy n daddy if they wanted one. Not heard anything from medsoc about us volunteering to do it tho yet, unless I missed an email somewhere or something. It is a v good idea, but I've found many people in other years are very willing to offer advice etc anyway

so far, none of the people i have helped have failed......Although i gave my AR books away (free), so cant do that again as i no longer have em

CKH, do you know that your avatar thingy is like an optical illusion - it opens out if you watch it while scrolling down and vice versa. Sorry if that's all very old hat!

Carl, you're stealing the mentoring posts off the would-be-second-years. Grr.
And I think it's just you, Jiny - I can't see an optical illusion...

22-08-2006 07:28 PM #29I only want one.....with 165 newbies, there is enough for one each in your year, leaving about 35 free.....I'm willing to take them all

I'm not sure if I want one - no offence to new people, I'm sure you're all fantastic but I get about 160 freshers anyway with the RT thing so I think that is my fair share!
