HELP with QR and VR (UKCAT)
Hey guys,
My UKCAT is on the 2nd August, and am practising as much as I can for the exam but seem to struggle on QR and VR. I would like to score like 700+ as an average on both of them!! I'd appreciate any help...
PM me or post here or mail me of ideas on how to improve on these sections.

All I can really suggest is the books How to Master the UKCAT: Over 700 Practice Questions for the United Kingdom Clinical Aptitude Test Elite Students Series: Amazon.co.uk: Mike Bryon, Jim Clayden, Chris John Tyreman: Books and http://www.amazon.co.uk/into-Medical...1148848&sr=1-1
They're currently helping me and I've noticed a dramatic increase in my practice test results through daily practice, going through their questions, doing some timed mock exams etc... I'm with you on the wanting an average of greater than 700 on those sections, though it's a tall order, they're easily the hardest sections. I'm currently scoring full marks on the 15 minute practice test from Pearson, but only 28/44 QR and 12/36 VR on the practice test 1, mainly thanks to the time constraints.
Apparently the BBC Bitesize GCSE Maths is a good tool to revise and practice for the QR section, though I'm yet to try it out- everyone seems to think it's useful. All I would say is needed is timed practice, and lots of it!
Good luck!

Thanks jcak I have been practicing but it's justt not helping, especially with QR!! I mean it's not even like maths is not my forte, if anything math is my forte! so I am confused why I am scoring less in QR. Anyways I have tried the resources you mentioned. I guess I will carry on practicing them again and again.
Thanks
and good luck to you too

Maybe it just needs to sink in a bit. I was practising like mad and took a little break - it really helped and showed in my scores.
I've been using Jobtestprep for online practice tests and Kaplans for more practice.
I hope this helps!
