Online UKCAT Prep
Hi,
Just wanting some thoughts as to which online ukcat prep is closest to the actual UKCAT Between AceMedicine, Emedicia or Medify?
Thank you

In my opinion, I wouldn't go with Emedica. When using it, I found many errors (some of which I have pointed out in previous posts which Masuda agreed with). I think AceMedicine looks really good and I have heard good things, but I didn't want to pay that much. I regret this now.

Because there are only 2 and a half and I remember the questions from last years practice!

Since I have now been threatened with legal action from Emedica, I would like to highlight my previous posts regarding question errors on the Emedica/UKCATprep site. Errors which Masuda agreed with.
UKCAT VR help!!
UKcat Online training advice...
I am glad they take in our feed back and make corrections for future users, however I believe a live site should not have errors such as these especially when charging its users a fee. I will also add I am not the only user on here who has issues with the site.
Perhaps as Martigan suggests we should use the books and official practice tests. In my opinion these are much better than the sites out there (600 UKCAT book and Score Higher Kaplan book) and are much cheaper!

Hello snakefisch
If I could just point out that we have never objected to any discussion of GENUINE errors on our site, in fact we are keen to hear about them so we can correct them.
The questions which you have specifically discussed are as follows:
AR2 - Question 1 - this was not an actual error as such - you suggested alternative wording for the rule on these AR question which we agreed were clearer than the original and amended.
QR - Question 13 - this was a genuine error which is now fixed.
As a thank you for helping us improve the service we offered to extend your subscription by two weeks.
You also separately raised VR2 - Questions 15, 22 and 40 which you thought were wrong - none of these questions were wrong - it was a mistake on your part.
You also separately raised AR7 - Questions 6, 8, and 9, of which Q6 and Q8 were again a mistake on your part - and Q.9 has been fixed.
So of the 8 questions you have posted about as being wrong, 5 were actually correct, one was a minor amendment to wording and the 2 actual errors have been fixed.
It is only your post on this thread on the 30/06/2012 that we have objected to. There is an element of human error in every endeavour and the 2 mistakes you have found in 1700 questions does not represent an unreasonable rate of error. My team work very hard on this service and genuinely care about helping students be prepared for the UKCAT and I have a responsibility to protect them from unfounded criticisms - to that end I simply requested via the forum that the blanket statement you posted in this thread be moderated.
I hope you won't take this issue personally; it really is not intended that way.
I wish you all the best with your UKCAT and your application to Medicine.
Kind Regards
