UKCAT Prep , what do i need?????
Hi everyone.
Preparing for the UKCAT. I bought the 600q book. So was just asking any other books anyone could recommend???
Also was looking through the book (600q) for the first time. Is the 'real thing' as hard as the book makes it out to be??
P:S applying for Graduate Entry (no idea how that is useful information)
Thanks

Hiya,

Personally, I don't see the value of going on one of the intensive courses. Especially GAMSAT where the fees charged are ludicrous. Spend plenty of time going over the material and using the books mentioned here and on their official websites and you should improve huge amounts.
If you've got lots of money to spend then i'm sure they'll be useful, but not a guarantee of any success. One company kept emailing me said I would be guaranteed a score of at least 60 if i went on the course. I didn't go on the course, just used the books and ended up with 65. I'm not boasting, just pointing out that its not the only way to get a good score.- Warwick 2016 -

I am preparing for gamsat and ukcat as well this year,i wrote the ireland gamsat last saturday,so i am still in gamsat mood.if you have the griffith review ,the listed topics for section 3,should be a good starting point,as well as establish an essay pattern for yourself and start to write at least 1 essay per week and increase the frequency as the exam draw close. For the ukcat,600q book under time condition is the way to go

UKCAT: 600Q book + an online revision site (e.g. Emedica). This will be entirely sufficient for most people.
GAMSAT: GAMSAT review ebook, gold standard prep (if you can afford it, otherwise go for the AS&A2 revision guides for biology, chemistry & physics).2013 Entry

Imperial
Nottingham

UKCAT: 9th July 2012
