For sale: Kaplan ukcat course materials - guide & test papers!!!!

Hi there , I attended the Kaplan UKCAT course in August 2010 and it helped me do extremely well in the UKCAT. The course I attended does come at a big price though once you take into account the course price, train fares, hotel rates, etc.

I do have, however, a brand new 265 page Kaplan UKCAT guide which was given to me on the day as a spare (I thought I'd lost my first one then found I had left it in my bag all along!).... also I have 2 new UKCAT tests which are as a close as you will get to the real thing. On top of that I will throw in the other 3 test booklets, which are pretty much new apart from the separate answer sheet provided has been filled in by myself, athough you could easily photocopy one of the new answer sheets provided with the new test booklets already mentioned - I don't have the facilities photocopy the answers sheets myself.

These test papers have the same number of questions for each of the 4 sections as the actual UKCAT does and it is without a doubt the closest you will get to the real thing. They really do provide you with priceless practice and are way better than the "600 UCKAT questions book" which for me is definitely tougher than the real thing, so the ISC book for me was certainly a complete waste of time. The 5 test booklets, titled "Diagnostic Test" and "Practice Test 2", include an answer sheet in which it really does make the practice as realistic as possible. I can honestly say the difficulty of the questions does mimic that of the real thing and the answers provided in the guide booklet allow you to estimate what score you are getting in each section! How good is that!!!! No other practice tests are as good as these, they better had be for the price I paid for the course !!!!

All six items are like new, never marked: the guide itself "Understanding Test Day", "Diagnostic Test" booklet and "Practice Test 2", "Practice Test 3", "Practice Test 4" and "Practice Test 5" booklets. I will send them via recorded delivery. As I mentioned earlier, I was given multiple copies on the day since I couldn't originally find the ones which were given to me to begin with, however I did find them and hence these are essentially new booklets.


I wouldn't advise anybody to shell out the £259 that I did for the actual 2-day classroom course as all the advice they provided was in the book I am selling. I certainly wish they'd given us the option of just buying the textbooks.

Even if you choose not to buy it from me, if anyone is seriously considering attending the course, I would recommend that you try and buy the text from someone else instead - it'll be cheaper (by at least £150 and no travel costs, hotels, etc), and just as good.
