Ukcat scores?

Could anyone tell me what ukcat score an overall percentage of 38 would be? It was my very first attempt and I am just trying to figure out what percentage I would need to get up to in the next few months to achieve a ukcat score of 700.

scoring is based on a test group that take the test each year before we get to do it... so generally theirs scaling involved - nobody really knows how its marked :/

also the actual test differs somewhat greatly (or so i have read) from those available on the ukcat website

Oh right I didn't realise that, I assumed there was some sort of formula used to obtain the scores. Also could anyone recommend a particular book for practicing ukcat? There seems to be so many different books and resources for Ukcat and Gamsat its impossible to know which one to choose! Oh and Thanks for your help ob[x]

no worries! the general consensus is that the "get into medical school 600 ukcat questions" book by isc medical is the best. and i could not disagree as it upped my average of around 555 over 3 attempts to 688 last year! hopefully itll do the same this year haha
