Hi there,
I have found it really hard also. The only advice I can give is to practice, practice and practice! Then hope for the best on the day! Good Luck!

Are you doing the timed or the untimed tests? It may be a good idea to work on the untimed ones and use the feedback so that you can work on your technique - and then work with the timed tests to work on your timing.
On the UKCAT - timing is a major factor, remember there is no negative marking so keep an eye on the time and if a question is holding you up it may be better for your score overall to take a guess and move on.
Is there a particular question type that you struggle with? What techniques are you using?
It is still early - you might want to consider moving your test back a little especially if you have just come out of exam period now - you may do better just by having had a break in between your other exams and this preparation.
I do wish you the best with it.

Hi Masuda,
I was initially doing the times tests, but I decided to practice lots of untimed and in the past couple of days I have been doing the timed and getting around 600.
I think I was having major trouble with deciding what is false/can't tell on the VR section BUT I think I have the hang of it now...practice has been the key element for me and now I am just focusing on timing.
Whatever the outcome, I have my test tomorrow AM so it is too late to turn back now!
Thanks for your help!!

Im thinking about going through a company to help me with my UKCAT. Can anyone suggest any that are good? I have just had enough of the damn book! It can only tell you so much. I reckon I need a tutor or someone to help me in person.

Have you done the down loadable tests from the UKCAT site?
To be honest I don't recall anyone saying that any of the courses provided any value for money.
However, there is a lot to be said about feeling relaxed. If the company can give you the confidence in your ability to relax, you will perform better. But is you have done the 600 questions book and done the practice tests and worked through the answers and what you did wrong, they are unlikely to be able to teach you anything of significant additional value in answering the questions.

Martigan,
Thanks for your response! Yeah I have the downloadable tests and also the 600 Q book. But my confidence is lacking and I know from previous A Level exams I've done that if I panic I don't do as well as if im confident.
My mum has found this company on the internet called one 2 one medicine. Have you ever heard of them? The area im really struggling with is the AR section. I just find it pretty hard to revise for.

I found it hard to revise for to.
To behonest, if you have gone through the book and the official practice tests, I don't believe there is much more you can do. The test isn't about knowledge, it's about your ability to recognise patterns. Familiarity with the test will help you achieve your potential. The techniques taught in the 600 Qs book help you understand the sort of links that "may" come up. But over all it's your own natural ability that will carry you.
Am I right to suspect that your worry about AR is that it's not possible to know if your wrong or right, and you hate that uncertainty?

I sat mine a few days ago, thought I might as well get it over and done with on the first day I could.
VR - 740
QR - 730
AR - 630
DA - 670
Avg. 692.5
I'm only really wanting to apply for Warwick and Newcastle, but I'm not sure how my score will hold up against others.
I really hate that AR section, 5 questions on one set of pictures can really screw you over if you go the wrong way, which I'm assuming I did. Pretty happy with my VR and QR scores though, I know they're not great but considering I didn't do a great deal of prep I feel happy enough with them.
