AR Query
Hello!
I've just started looking at the AR section of the 600Q book and its been a bit of a shock - i cannot seem to fathom any of the relationships! My test is on Sept 21st and now I'm really panicking!
Any advice?
Thank you!BSc Biomedical Sciences (2011) 1st

Have you read the key tactics section before the practice questions? This is a good start.
I have also been slow at identifying patterns, however given the small amount of practice questions I have completed, I am noticing an improvement already. My strategy is to do a question, then spend some time to write down the relationships and any specific patterns I have discovered on a separate note book. I then go through the answers in the 600Q and take note the additional comments that will help me when revising. I have put together a small list of key techniques for specific types of questions now that I revise over. At this stage Im not worrying about timing, I want to practice the pattern recognition and get the problem solving technique correct. However - everyone learns in different ways!
Hope this helps.Last edited by persianmd; 05-09-2010 at 10:09 PM.

Hi
I found the same with practice tests and the ones in the book. I just did not see the relationships. Read all
the hints and tips and hoped that something would stick!
Scores were woeful but I did my test on 31st August with just 1-2hrs practise per day for 2 weeks (I have a toddler) and managed to finish the
AR in time and scored 680! Was totally chuffed.
Try not to panic and relax when doing the test!
hth and gives you a wee bit of hope that you will do better than you think at the mo.

Well done on your score kaodeve.
Just keep doing questions. Do all of the 600Q AR questions and the ones in the official practice tests. Read the answers and reasoning behind the answers in the 600Q book and then repeat them if need be. This'll help them stick in your head
Good luck.Medicine Applicant 2011
