    Urgent Advice!

Okay, so I’ve done my UKCAT and I’m now looking for some advice on where to apply to study Graduate Entry Medicine. Below is a brief look at my academic achievements and background.

    UKCAT: VR: 660
    QR: 730
    AR: 700
    DA: 670
    Average: 690

    GCSEs: 7A*, 4A - inc. A* in Biology & Chemistry
AS LEVEL: AAAA (A) - Bio, Chem, Maths, French, (GS)
LIVERPOOL UNIVERSITY CONDITIONAL OFFER OF AAB!
A-LEVEL: BBC (B) - Bio, Maths, Chem (General Studies)

    Missed my conditional offer!
DEGREE: 2.1 (Hons) Biological Sciences – University of Liverpool

WORK EXP: Good. Start ‘Home Care Assistant’ at Alder Hey Hospital this month!

Okay, So up to now, my choices are (in no particular order):
    • Oxford (4 yr)
    • Kings College London (4 yr)
    • Manchester (5 yr)
    • Imperial (4yr)

I’ve chose these based on my UKCAT score, which should get me an interview in all 4 of the above universities as these rank UKCAT highly. However, I’m also strongly considering the following:

    Cambridge:
Will I need BMAT with biological sciences undergraduate degree?
Can you apply to Oxford & Cambridge?
    Barts:
Competition too strong? How do they rank UKCAT?

Any advice would be much much much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm sure you can apply to both Oxford and Cambridge as a graduate, but i would check just in case.

Medschoolsonline is a very useful site -> See link below
Medschoolsonline - Medical Course Guide for Graduate Applicants to Medical School

I think 690 is very competitive, you're grades are also competitive and u should easily meet most GEP basic requirements.

I think Cambridge and Oxford might require the BMAT tho, not 100% sure so do some research on that.

This site lets you know how each uni uses the UKCAT -> See link below
    UKCAT - The Student Room

I personally think you can pretty much apply to any graduate course with your UKCAT score and so the focus should be on where you want to go.

    Hope this helps

since there is so little time left, I'd phone them up. If they aren't helpful, you've lost nothing. Have you searched on AdmissionsForum.net - a discussion forum for medicine, dentistry and healthcare-related professions - Powered by vBulletin
as they seem to have lots of graduates
