Did anyone receive an email from UKCAT/PearsonVue today regarding an error ...
in some questions?
Some people on TSR received an email from UKCAT and were told that some questions had to be received. Because of this, their score has gone up slightly. I was wondering if anyone else has received an email regarding this?
Only 6.5% out of the 26000 people who had the questions which contained errors will receive the email.

hi everyone.
For those wondering what it said in this email it's below:
my score was originally 660 and now its 662.5
so not a major difference at all
Dear xxxxxxxx,
We are contacting you regarding your recent UKCAT sitting.
By the end of this test cycle the UKCAT test will have been delivered to approximately 26,000 candidates. The cognitive tests comprise 175 questions (which include some pre-test questions that do not count towards the final score). These questions are presented randomly to candidates from a total pool of 694. As part of its standard quality assurance processes, the UKCAT Consortium has identified two questions which have performed poorly compared to all others. Because sets of test questions are presented randomly only a small minority of candidates are affected.
Having identified these poorly performing questions, UKCAT has asked Pearson VUE to re-score the test results of those candidates who took these specific questions and may have been disadvantaged as a result. No candidates have been adversely affected but 6.5% of candidates have had their scores adjusted upwards as a result. You were among those candidates affected by these changes. As a result, we have modified your score accordingly and your revised test score sheet is attached. This information is also being communicated to candidates by post.
As universities receive all UKCAT scores directly from the UKCAT Consortium in November, you do not need to be concerned if you have included your original score on your UCAS application as this information will not be used for selection purposes. Please be assured that your new revised test result will be forwarded to the institutions you have applied to or intend to apply to through UCAS.
Many thanks.
