    UKCAT Advice

Right guys, just done my UKCAT and need a few opinions on which road to take (i.e. Where to apply).

    My scores were:
    VR: 660
    QR: 730
    AR: 700
    DA: 670
    Average: 690

Quite happy with the result, but considering the places I have shortlisted to apply to it was essential I got into the top bracket.

    My background is as follows:
    GCSEs: 7A*, 4A - inc. A* in Biology & Chemistry
AS LEVEL: AAAA (A) - Bio, Chem, Maths, French, (General Studies)
LIVERPOOL UNIVERSITY CONDITIONAL OFFER OF AAB!
A-LEVEL: BBC (B) - Bio, Maths, Chem (General Stdueis)

So, missed my conditional offer... went off to Uni to do Bioloigal Sciences.

DEGREE: 2.1 (Hons) Biologial Sciences – University of Liverpool

WORK EXP: Good. Plus start as ‘Home Care Assistant’ at Alder Hey Hospital this month!

    2 Questions People:
    1. Is my UKCAT good enough to compete at University’s like Kings College and Oxford?
    2. Will my A-level results hold me back?

look at The Student Room - Announcements in Forum : Medicine
oxfoed is bmat not ukcat and search on here under "graduate ukct scores" as there are some posts with links to relevant sites for you. I think 675= is enough for grad entry as it is top 14% so 690 must be top 105 (700 is top 7%)

672.5-amazing since I can't even spell Oxford or UKCAT!(and don't check what I write- meant top 10% and 675+). I am applying to N/C and Manch as above their cut-offs; Soton (couldn't resist no interview) and Leeds as they very helpful when I contacted them. Also don't think unis very bothered about A levels when you have proven yourself by getting a 2:1
