Barts, Kings and Newcastle UKCAT
Hi
I've just done my UKCAT and got 660. Does anyone know what Barts, Kings and Newcastle's cutoff is this year? Sorry if this question has already been asked/answered elsewhere...
Thanks

for 5 year- N/C 600-610; Barts 612.5: Kings should be same but have heard lots of different figures so phone them. For 4 year it is higher so search under "graduate ukcat scores" and there are some good links

Hi
Thanks for that. My GCSEs are fine but my A levels let me down (did them one a year while working full-time ages ago) then degree and masters degree are fine. Do you think my UKCAT could make up iffy A levels?

if you have a 2:1 they count that far more than A Levela as it shows what you are capable of now

Newcastle was 625 last year, I rang up and asked. This year could be different but wouldn't expect a major change. Does anyone know if the Durham UKCAT cut off would be different? Also, if you apply to Newcastle and express it as your preference, can you still be put into Durham if you're good enough for a place but not better than everyone else a NEwcastle? I'm assuming competition for Newcastle campus is greater than Durham.

I was at N/C open days last year and this and they said 600-610 and a friend rang up and was told 600 for last year and this year. I give up! just when I think I have some idea, I get it wrong
Durham is exactly the same score as N/C. You can put a preference for one (Durham campus not so great so most people put N/C) or no pref and they allocate you (randomly as both meant to have same standard of medics)or both (but that's 2 choices and they have same criteria but do interview separately.) I do think that's right but phone them if you want to check
