my suggestions for VR and AR:
VR: take a look at the question first, if you have no clue after a few secs, skip. some Qs are particularly nasty e.g. those involving a lot of data and rules. Many of them are simpler so make sure to get those correct. Time is a huge problem in this section- I left 2 Qs unanswered in my real exam...didn't even have time to guess lol
AR: Pay attention to number, shape/symbols, colour/shading, relative size (big square, small square for example), direction (pointing towards same direction for example), distribution (shapes sticking together, or organized diagonally, for example). Usually you can find a pattern in each set, if not, guess via your instinct- it works sometimes. It might not be that bad as I had completely no idea of what's going on in 2 groups of AR questions in mine (10Qs total), and I got 750 at the end. Don't leave the questions unanswered as you will not be marked against wrong ones.
good luck.

You will be fine just relax! I did one day of reading a UKCAT book around a month before the exam and then 3 hours working though online examples the night before. I was only so relaxed as I booked and sat it very early so didnt really think of it as a big deal but I seriously doubt I would have a better score if I'd done 600 questions or whatever it is! !
Do some practise to familiarise yourself with the test layout. Not too much. Keep calm. And answer quickly and efficiently. The test was designed to test your natural problem solving ability so its not like a school test, you can't "revise" for it in the typical sense.
Best of luck!imperial grad medic

the 600 q book was good. most people seem to have got lower on vr than they expected because the passages were a bit too long, I think
