    hey...I got 652.5 in my UKCAT, I don't know should I apply for Sheffield? I've heard that this year's cut-off is 675.

I personally feel it'd be an unwise choice to apply to Sheffield with a UKCAT below the cut-off for last year (or perhaps a touch higher).

Hi, im trying to get all my stuff ready to send off, but my choices are bugging me,
do you think with an average of 650 its worth applying to:

(also, do you need to add the UKCAT non-cognitive section if you put your results on your UCAS form?)

    5yr:
    Nottingham
    Edinburgh
    Cardiff
    KCL

If you have any advice i'd really appreciate it!

(the strongest part of my form is academic and the weakest UKCAT.. so what dya think?)
    GCSE 10A* 1A
A level: AAAA Bio, Chem, Physics, Maths

    cheers..

you can get in anywhere except Sheffield (670-675)-or the BMAT colleges, obviously. With your grades why not Birmingham (8A*s)? 650 is well above average-top30%?.

Really? I didn't think that was a good score.. Especially since in one of my sections I got 490 (which was really bad!) but in another I got 740, so I think that one score of 490 will really reduce my chances, especially at the unis where there is a cut-off in each section of the UKCAT.

I applied to Birmingham last year, I just don't fancy going there as much anymore...

I really want to go to Kings, but i'm not sure that the score of 490 acts in my favour.

    It really won't...

I used The Student Room - Announcements in Forum : Medicine
and many unis just use your average -Leicester do it by sections, though
