I have a UKCAT of 652.5 (610,620,680,700) and was thinking of Newcastle but after reading the thread am slightly concerned, I know there was a 630 offer for Durham so Im hoping Newcastle will be similar? I was pleasd with my UKCAT so hadnt put alot of thought into it, silly I know. Any advice would be appreciated x

    Hi,

    Congratulations on your result!

Yes, I would definitely consider applying if that's where you want to go. 620-640 is probably on the risky side of things; but 650+ should present you no problems at all!

However, as you probably know, it changes from year to year; and it wouldn't be 'impossible' for it to go to over 700 for example (just extremely unlikely!)

I think you'd be in the interview threshold for Newcastle. Someone got in last year on here with 612.

I have 642.5 UKCAT ( 650/600/630/690. Respectively) I was thinking of applying to some places like leeds but UKCAT could be my UKCAT could be good ( they only use it towards the end to differentiate between applicants ) Barts ( who rank the top percent usaually 600-800) Liecester ( I would get 3/5 ) BSMS ( bearling in mind the applicant to place ratio is 17:1 ) Advice guidance would be helpful and what 5th choice should I have Bio-med. Oh yeah I have not so good GCSEs A* And rest As. AABb AS-levels, AAA predicitons

I just remember someone being interviewed by Newcastle with 612. I was surprised so it stuck in my mind.

0 for each UkCAT section equal to 600

Last year you need 31/32 (can't remember) for an offer. So if your GCSE's are good, UkCAT was pretty irrelevant.
Based on that I get around 34 do you think it is worth applying?
