I should add that I know the cutoffs change each year depending on the applicants. I'm looking more for an opinion from people as I'm in that annoying 650-700 range which is a maybe for graduate places :/
Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated as I'm confused about choices. Thanks

I've managed a UKCAT of about 680. I was thinking of making 3 GEP apps, and 1 Standard app.

Are there any places people think I should avoid with my UKCAT? I was thinking of giving Birmingham a try since I have a first, but I need to pick two grad entry courses that have a a cutoff below 680.

I'm considering Imperial, Warwick, Barts. There's very little info about the Imperial GEP.

So many people have scored under 600 in the VR this year, including me (590). I'm thinking...
You know last year there has been a correction in the UKCAT something like 10 points in a section for everyone because of a certain question, I don't remember exactly, there's a thread on NMM on that topic.
I really don't remember last year to see so many people with under-600 VRs.
Hope there will be some corrections this year too.

last year my scores went from 570 (bloody verbal reasoning!) to 740 with 672 average. the unis just went by the average. I was told each section measures a different way of analysing info so its normal for people to be higher in some areas. I think vr is just too long tho!
your score is great so don't worry. look at unis that weight the ukcat most (manch, newcastle etc) and check if they are what you want. that score will help you so well done.
(if you are postgrad doublecheck as they usually want higher and unis may look at individual sections if you are resitting but otherwise be happy)

same score as I got last year ( and I got 3 offers in the end). why are you not applying to the ukcatb heavy unis if you don't mind me asking?
also last year a lot of us got under 600 on vr too so don't worry

I apply to these universities as they are the only ones that accept the Romanian Baccalaureate and don't ask for both Chemistry and Biology. Not that I don't want to study Biology, it's just that under the Romanian Education Law one cannot sit both Biology and Chemistry in the Romanian Baccalaureate. I also can't offer IB/A-levels etc.
Maybe I may change QUB with Leeds but I have been waiting for an email response from them regarding my qualifications for like years.

Really, you got the same score as me in the VR or overall?
    Which unis accepted you?

thanks conorcd =] I'll also have a look at the student room to see if I can get more info on graduate ukcat scores.
Also jdlee93, your score is great! I would apply to unis that use the average score as opposed to requiring x amount of points in each section. VR this year seems to have been quite low too so don't worry about it (that's what I'm telling myself =P ).
