well i have heard Glasgow is the toughest to get into for ANY course here. Polldoll what is the cut off for the sections? I got:

    VR 580
    QR 680
    AR 680
    DA 670

I feel it must be 600 for each, does that mean I can't apply there because of a 580 in VR? Thanks

I was led to believe it was 600 in each section, but like you I got one under 600. I got 570 in AR but I am going to go for it anyway.
    The website says the following:
The University of Glasgow Medical School considers further applicants who meet minimum academic entry requirements and who also possess a minimum overall UKCAT total score of 2400 (providing all subtest scores have been made available to the Medical School by UKCAT). However please note that an interview or entry is not guaranteed. Depending on the number of applications the Medical School receives and the standard of scores achieved in the UKCAT, the Medical School may need to increase the UKCAT total score requirement. Please note that the Medical School does not usually receive the UKCAT scores until November

I think we should be alright.. lets go for it! But to be sure, you could email Coleen at admissions??

Are u applying for graduate entry? Do u mind me asking what were your other sections' scores? I came across that info on the website too, so does that mean we should ACCEPT the overall score, rather than a sub-test entry requirement? Also is it "one-of-those" rumours that go about that the sub-test score has to be above 600? But to confirm I will definately e-mail. Btw isn't the excitement just amazing? lolzzz

Yup I would be graduate entry. I applied for 2008 but got rejected, so hoping for better luck this time round.

UKCAT I got: VR 610 QR 720 AR 570 DA 650 average 635. It probably was just a rumour, so hoping that I get an interview again. Are you from Glasgow? I take it your still at school?

@ Sara When Glasgow reply to you regarding this rumour that I heard too would you be so kind to post it here Well done on your UKCAT score. I am absolutely dreading mine at this moment in time. How did you find the real thing compared to the UKCAT 600 questions book, particularly AR and QR?? Any advice? Cheeeeeers

@ Polldoll Congrats on your score (sorry I did see you were worried a few days ago about it and seeing your score I would be more than happy with it so well done) Roll on applying to Glasgow

I was gonna post it anyway Don't panic, the 600 book gives you the BEST material to practise, but, the QR is not as hard. There are questions that are upto the same level, but not all of them will be of that level. Some are as simple as adding two numbers in the two columns of the table. AR, I only spotted a few patterns, rest seemed more like a guessing game. But, don't worry you might spot them ALL. And I was really calm the whole time while I was doing the test, so it helped I feel. I know someone who messed up his test because he was really nervous. Just relax and oh! Don't let the people at the centre SCARE you, they can be really terrifying lolzzz Good luck Anymore questions, just ask...
