Odd position to take given you're applying as a school leaver to five-year courses...

you're well above average - anyway, most Scottish unis don't place much importance on UKCAT

I wanna apply to edinburgh and it is one of my TOP choices (although Glasgow will be more OBVIOUS if I get an offer), but since they don't interview, do they use a boundary for UKCAT, cut-offs? Probably been asked alot of times, but just wanna clarify it? thnx

i think edinburgh use it most extensively - but you have every chance of getting an offer with that UKCAT - by the way, why Oxford for medicine?

Last year, the cut off for Glasgow was around 610.
Edinburgh use a weighting rather than a cut off point. Since you are above average you have nothing to fear.

Don't be so paranoid. You did well.

Thanks, that is what I thought aswell, since they don't interview and Oxford because I have always wanted to study there, from a very young age, probably then it was just something I heard about from here and there, but now it is mainly because I like the idea of a pre-clinical course and then you even have the choice of moving, so you don't have to stay in the same place for six years or so. Most of all, it has a really diverse environment, and with minimum patient contact or even none initially, it gives you all the clinical knowledge that you need before you go ahead practically. Quite a few reasons actually. Where are studying/applying?
