What do my UKCAT results mean?
Right, i've got some fairly strange results from my ukcat today:
VR - 600
QR - 730
AR - 590
DA - 900 (yes 900)
Av. 705
Now these are a fairly disparate set of results with one average, one slightly below average, one above average and one way above average as i understand it.
What does this mean for me? I'm applying to Newcastle, Southampton, Kings and Queen Mary's. Will these universities just take my average or look at the separate results? Does anyone know what these results will mean for my application to these places?
I'm struggling to understand if these results are any good or not.

But will universities look at average or go 'what the **** are these?' other peoples results seem to be pretty uniform.
I can't find anything which says how the individual unis use the scores or what minimum UKCAT requirements are. Does anyone know?

i think they just look at the averages, because everyone has their strenghts and weaknesses. yours just happen to be more evident

There are only six quadrillion threads talking about things identical/damn near this!
An average of 705 is hot! It will help each of your particular applications alot and you're virtually guaranteed an interview at NewcastleFirst Year Medical Student: Keele

Klinkerz... of course everyone's concerned... if the repetition annoys you, don't answer...
I have sat it 3 times with a different result each time - gradually my AR get's better but the others seem to bob around.
Over the time, I have only heard total and average used - but then I haven't applied to all unis, only a select few...
I have also benefitted from an increase due to DA - maybe practice does count??

There's no 'l' in Kinkerz...
Annoy is a strong word. It's just odd how people start threads when there are lots of the same dotted all over the site. Plus, I gave my opinion on how the UKCAT score would benefit her/his application...
Also, Leicester don't use average or total. They use your lowest sub section score.First Year Medical Student: Keele
