Thanks for the reply '?dentist?'. I agree the ukcat is a waste of time! I just cant wait to get it over with. I have paid £75 for a test to tell me that im thick as pig sh**!! lol! Sounds cheesey but i know i could be a good dr...i dont need the ukcat to decide it for me!

Anyway...must get on revising! Or, jump off a bridge...cant decide! x

They say that there is a correlation between high scorers and success on the course (or so I've heard). The only way they could know that is if they've tested a load of junior doctors/current med students. I'm sat next to one right now (3rd year), who I've just put through the timed practice test...... 430 :P ... so yeah, I'd also say it's a waste of time.

Just got back from my UKCAT...average score of 530. Not the best to say the least! It was a nightmare to be fair.

VR - Passages were very long.
QR - Lots of 'wordy' questions that needed alot of calculations to work out one answer. Calculator kept switching off. Ran out of time, guessed most of the answers.
AR - could not see many patterns in the sets. Was a nightmare.
DA - Was ok. Scored the most on this test.

They sat me in a room alone to do the test. However, it was basically in the reception area and could hear everything. At one point the cleaner popped in the room where i was taking the test.

So anyway...paid £75 to tell me i am thick!! To be fair, i am not going to let it bother me...worse things have happened! Will still apply and see what happens....
