If you read some of the threads in UCKAT, I think the general feel is that they are a lot harder on the website. I've not sat mine yet so can't say for sure but will let you know soon...

I thought the practice ones on the website were harder than in the actual test but I still found it difficult in the real thing anyway. I only got through about 15 questions, most of which I had to just guess anyway and then I quickly guessed the rest of the questions. I managed to get 610 in the end which I was actually surprised about, I thought I would get much worse.

hey guys thanks for the replies!!

Granny Midges best of luck with the ukcat! Hope it all goes well! Let us know how it goes..

Gooner, im finding the ones on the site harder then i expected as the ones in the uk clinical apititude test ukcat n bmat book seems a lot easier for the quantitative section. You've made me feel a lil better though, thanks..I think i'l be doing a hell of a lot of guesswork too!

Rachel maybe when u try opening up the tests on the site, hold down alt and tab...i found that the only way to access the papers for some reason..and yeah they basically are gcse i guess but time is a biatch

    hey guys!

i just did my ukcat..and was pleasantly surprised
in VR section the passages were a lot lot shorter thn the ones on practice test.

same goes for the QR- i found the questions in QR a lot easier -there wasnt too much reading/writing. QR was my worst during practice and i was only able to finish around 15 in the given time, but in the actual test i finished around 30 in time and rest were guesses (only cos the stupid calculator was rubbish..the keys would wrk well . ) still got above 700.
AR is the one im surprised about..it was supposed to be my best and only got 640. i found that time limit was really not a problem and for most of the section i had a lot lot of time left over.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF U! dont worry the actual thing is less..much less daunting then the practice. hope all this helps people.

Hey drdolittle! Congrats..u must be relieved! Can i just ask were the maths questions similar to the simpler ones in the ukcat clinical book eg asking simple questions about the mean, range etc or is it more of an inbetween the book and site? How were your other sections compared to the practice papers, esp verbal reasoning??

    thanks!!

It won't let me have an avatar, so it's going here (if this works!)
