Ukcat 2008
Can anyone give me an idea of what the UKCAT 2008 is like. Is it like last year? Is it harder? I've just tried the UKCAT practice questions and I found them really hard!!! Is the real UKCAT verbal reasoning passages as long as the practice questions because I don't remember it being like that last year.
Thank you

Never did UKCAT 2007 but i can tell you that the passages weren't as long as in the practice test from the website. The QR was also significantly smaller in terms of passage size bar a couple.

I didn't do the UKCAT last year either but I found it pretty easy this year.
Verbal Reasoning wasn't too long, there were actually a few really short passages.
Quantitative Reasoning was fairly long but I couldn't get through half the practice questions in the time given anyway. Helps to guess though coz I guessed my way through three quarters of it when I realised I barely had any time left after the first few and I managed to get in my 700s for it.
With Abstract Reasoning and Decision Analysis I had a few minutes to spare to go back and review the questions I wasn't too sure about first time round. It really helps to speed through each section and then go back to it when you have time left, atleast that way you've given an answer for every question so you're not losing out.

Hey - looking for some advice on the working pad you get - is it easy to use and to clear.(do you get it for each section?)
Also, if anyone whom has done the test is willing, (I know the test will vary for everyone), but what type of sililarities where appearing on AR -I'm OK with the simple ones, but those with 2 and 3 trends each I struggle with
Cheers

i got 2 sides of laminated card and a marker pen. Was plenty for me as i only used it sparingly for QR and for some of the longer DA questions.
Tbh your never going to have time to write a lot of stuff down and still get all of the questions done.Newcastle Fresher 09!

i found that my questions in the actual VR section were longer than in the practice but i guess it's all luck. Also AR was ridiculous and the code remained the same throughout the section wheras in the practice it changed, not sure if that was just me though.
