newcastle and leeds use of ukcat

Hi i heard somwhere that newcastle shortlist the people for interview on the ukcat soley and that leeds rank people on their ukcat score by their lowest subtest score. Can anyone please shed some light on these as to whether this is entirely true or just partially or even completly false.

I dont know about Leeds, but once an application passes the academic screen, Newcastle use a UKCAT cut off score to decide who to call for interview, as they find it easier to distinguish between scores than between personal statements.
Hope this helps
