Urgent advice/help for low UKCAT marks ><

Hi all,

I am a Canadian year 12 student in high school planning to apply UK medical school for the 5/6 year med program. This is what i scored today in my ukcat:

VR: 480 (i don't know what happened)
QR: 660
AR: 600
DR: 590

I was planning to apply to St. George's and St. Andrews but will my low ukcat scores hinder my application? I am a strong academic student with all sciences 90+ with chem AP/Bio AP/Psych AP/Calc AB/Mand AP and I do various volunteerings in hospitals.

I hope anyone can give me some opinions regarding my ukcat mark and suggestions in where i can apply!

With many thanks,
Light

i wouldnt apply to any london ones incl st georges as they all seem to have cut offs and cut off are always at least 600. because london hav so many applicants they need to use the ukcat scores aswell to distinguish betwn people, but by all means email they and ask if they hav a cut off/if they would consider u with that, st georges are usually qutie honest in their replies ie tell u not to bother. lol. umm i think most people do volunterring in hospitals.

some unis score u on ur ukcat score but u can make up for a low score in other areas ie if u hav an excellent personal statement ie leicester do this. so u could look at some of those. look in uni forums on here and i expect people will hav discussed ukcat cut offs.

dont know about st andrews, sos
