Thats out of date. The first year you would have had to wait because there was no other results to compare it to. Now they have results to compare to, you have no wait.

Help. I'm in need of results advice too.

Took the test just this afternoon. Nerve-wrecking experience.

VR : 600
QR : 690
AR : 590
DA : 880

Average : 690

From what I have heard, there are universities which use average scores as cut-off points for applications (ie. Barts) but are there universities which use individual subtest scores as cutoff points? I don't want to make a bad mistake of applying to a university which will reject me immediately on the basis that "590 for AR is not up to the mark".

Here's my tentative list of applications...

Edinburgh
Cardiff
Manchester
Liverpool (doesn't use UKCAT scores. phew.)

From having searched thoroughly through these forums and uni websites I'm fairly sure that 690 wont hold you back from anywhere. Although there was someone who thought edinburgh had a 700 cut off other people seem to have got in with less. if the rest of your application is good you should sail in- by all accounts it is a very good score.

I applied to Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool and Manchester with slightly lower UKCAT scores than you and was interviewed at Glasgow, L`pool and Manc (no luck with Cardiff, but that was down to GCSEs). I dont know about Edinburgh- they tend to be pretty ruthless with exam scores since they dont interview.
