ohhh... by the way I looked at a 2008 version of the UKCAT book in Waterstones and the questions are word for word, the same as those in the 2007 book.

From a quick flick all that is different is the stats ie at the beginning it's 2005 stats on applicants Vs places/ males Vs females, apparently there's another UKCAT book with a tonne of questions but it's not very accurate/ some mistakes which can knock your confidence according to a reviewer?! sorry I can't seem the page which said that
but for those who haven't seen it

hey all,

I bought the book and have to say that the verbal reasoning section seemed extremely difficult and some answers even wrong. The online questions (UKCAT site and medicas) are quite a bit easier. Abstract reasoning frustrates me as sometimes I can see the pattern and sometimes its a mystery...grrrr!

As for decision analysis, good advice is to make sure you include every part of the code given (i.e. some choices look right but dont include all info) and make sure it is the best way of interpreating it. That way, 2 answers will look right straight away and just choose the one which is the best. Shoddy advice but best ive got at the moment!!
