I think it has a place, after all with so many applicants per place you can't expect admissions to go over every application with a tooth comb, it would take forever, and here at least they have other jobs to do aswell.

they need something more, whether they look at A-levels differently (e.g. scores instead of grades), or just reform the exisiting med entrance tests
