    Talking UKCAT Results

Hey all u potential medics of 2008! (scary isn't it?!)

I just thought I'd start a new thread to start off the UKCAT results of 2008... again!

If you want to share your score (individual subsections, total and average) to get feedback etc, post your results and comments below. This thread's a bit less busy. lol.

For anyone who hasn't done it yet, good luck- and for those who have, best wishes for your applications!

lol Hardrada- I did think that! But I have looked again, and just thought it was too long, and not really very navigatable.... so we might as well keep going here! lol.

Aberdeen, Glasgow, Liverpool and Peninsula 'AlexMD'! what about yourself? Thanks for your luck, it's a bit nerve wrecking- and I dnt think that 550 is that bad!! How did you find it all for time and what was your hardest section?

glasgow, leeds, leicester, keele (i think lol)! glasgow looks great and it has a mint neuro unit so i think i;'ll like it! for time i found the maths (2nd) section the hardest, the maths are ok but the sheer amount of them and the fact some have to be worked out mean it can take a while! i foun the abstract reasoning section the hardest but im crap at stuff like that!! when is your test btw?

    cheers

my test is on... the 24th! so, fingers crossed for then. I'm findin the first bit hard, not because they're difficult, but because of the sheer VASTNESS of the questions!! they're enormous and there's so many of them!! Do u get it finished? Well.. more to the point- did you?

yeh the first part was my best but i do english lit so i guess that makes things a little easier especially being able to read quickly!! i got the first part finished but my problem was after i ran out of time on the maths section i rushed the other sections which was a stupid thing to do!! but yeh i got it finished!! the best thing to do is even if u think ur doin bad, stay calm because even if u think ur doin crap u may be doin great!! it messes with ur head this UKCAT lol! but you shud be fine, jus relax!

    best of luck

As an old medical student, I read all of these kitkat things with slight bemusement and admiration that you take it so seriously. Wasn't like this in my day!

Good luck to everyone who has to take these things, and I will bear this awful looking exam in mind when meeting junior students in the future. Promise that medical school is well worth it once you clear all the weird hurdles they put in the way (time of your life, great privilege, yadda yadda).
