Hi.
If you read other posts you will see the general consensus seems to be that some Uni's have set cut-off's whilst others are largely ambiguous with regards to how they will use the results.
My advice to you is to apply to courses which are the same as your predicted grades; I'm persuming your being predicted whats required (e.g. ABB), provided they have not said they will be setting a cut-off, as if they are going to, it is probable you will fall below this.
However, if you have a killer PS and excellent work experience and reference, you may be able to score well during admissions check, and therefore compensate somewhat for your low UKCAT.

Best of luck for the future!

The UKCAT isn't the most important part of the application. I think most places require a 4th AS, from what I've seen, but your situation could count as "extenuating circumstances"?

If you're really set on medicine, I think you ought to apply. You can re-take modules to bring up your grades, and if you don't make it, then you can always re-apply next year.

Colleges which dont have the facilities to offer students the opportunity to take four A' levels must state this in the reference, following which the student will be considered equally to other students with four AS subjects; some Uni's do over-ride this tho, I think.
