VUE Calculator TOO SLOW
On the practice questions provided by UKCAT the calculator is extremely slow.
comparing to the windows calculator, two clicks on number 7 would produce 77, however this only one 7 is produced on the VUE calculator...
therefore, you have to wait after each click!
Is this how the calculator functions at the test centres? if so, then the Quantitative reasoning section seems impossible!

You're spot on. I was so frustrated with the calculator, i switched to using the keyboard to control the numbers. Later i found out that that wasn't allowed, apparently, but there seems to have been no action against me.
Not that you should use the keyboard either.
They should have provided EVERYONE with manual handheld ones. Simple.Medicine MB BS 2008-2013 (Second year) at

i just grabbed the keyboard when i went in they said nothing, the guy gave me 2 double sided whiteboards as well so i had plenty of space on them. th evue calculator was so much slower than using the keyboard.

The calculator was rubbish! I ended up doing most of the calculations in my head/on the whiteboard because I wasn't allowed a handheld calculator or the keyboard!
Reapplying in 2007:
Southampton - rejected
Newcastle - interviewed
BSMS - interviewed
Queen Mary - interviewed - another rejection
