    UKCAT 'revision' books

I know its a bit late in the day to be posting this info and if its been posted before then sorry! But it should be helpful for potential medics for 2008 entry

Practice Psychometric Tests - Andrea Shavick (good book, covers the 4 topic areas)

How To Pass Verbal Reasoning Tests - Harry Tolley/Ken Thomas

Got my test on the 29th...left it as late as possible..

    hey temp.

i'm taking my test in newcastle. As for preparing for the test i've just worked through the practice ones on the website and looked at the answers and tried to find where i have gone wrong. Its all you can do really apart from using the books...

    hmm
true however i have done all the questions provided by ukcat yet i still do not feel prepared
the only section i feel ok with is abstract reasoning
my maths isnt excellent and it would be especially difficult with the time limit

With QR, do not, I repeat, DO NOT waste valuable time on a question that requires a lot of calculator use. Just move on to an easier question! The calculator is rubbish.
